It is true because Zeltrecht and Zouken had set up the war when they were young with the Einzbern. So if the war had happened every 10 years, there would have been more than just 5.

I must admit, I have 5 great Animes I love. All Fate Stay Night, both this and the anime, are my favourites. Visually this anime/movie are supurb, story is brilliant, characters are great, fights are Epic and what more can you ask for then being killed by your future self, then fighting the King of Heros in a one on one duel with your future selfs greatest weapon?

(1st alternate timeline: Fate (the anime is based off this), Unlimited Blade Works (the movie is based off this) and Heaven's Feel, the final route. (no animated adaptation.... yet.) Fate: Shirou falls in love with Saber. Unlimited Blade Works: Shirou fall in love with Rin. (all lovey dovey parts from the novel w/ Rin were cut off -_-) and Heavens Feel: Shirou falls in love with Sakura. (Shirou's GAR level = beyond Archer)
@TheRunedExperience Well, the movie does have the scene at the cemetery between Shiro and Rin. Which is quite possibly the most important of the bunch. Also, to be fair, it seems Shiro does have feelings for Rin on multiple paths but only acts on them in UBW (the Good Ending of Heaven's Feel has some hilarious awkwardness between the two for this very reason).
I personally liked the fight scenes of FSN unlimited bladeworks.The story is better than the original series but it was so condensed so I was not satisfied.

Actually Gilgamesh has rather poor swordplay, as evidenced by Emiya beating him into the ground once the Gate of Babylon was effectively nullified by Unlimited Blade Worlds. Gilgamesh had the strength of his weapons and their sheer volume but that was about it.

@TheBlackKnightmare its a visual novel, basically you scroll down and read and pick one of few decisions that will have impact on rest of the story and how it will play out (routes, there are 3 of them), then you have anime Fate stay night that follows one route, movie Fate unlimited blade works that follows second route, and storywise its about 7 magicians and their servants (famous people/mythical beings from history) fighting for holy grail in holy grail war...
@LostInNumbers The scabbard is only used in defense. So its kinda hard to compare the 2 in raw power. But it is higher ranked as a noble phantasms. It granted saber immortality in the past. And when in use its like it placed the user in a distant utopia. To break through such defense would mean the same thing as breaking through time and space and reach a other universe. So yea its pretty powerful.
Just a little comparison. Excalibur is a A++ rank weapon. That is of course weaker then a A+++ rank weapon.
A+++ rank weapons have around 200 attack power. So Excalibur is even lower.
Enuma Elish on normal power has 4000 attack power. But it can be increased by adding the wealth of more noble phantasms. It is a ANTI-WORLD noble phantasms. It split heaven and earth. And Gilgamesh has never used it even close to his full force.
@NLwino The intriguing thing is that Fate never mentions cast/charge time to use those weapons. Enuma Elish is extremely powerful, but in the fight against Shiro Gilgamesh had his arm cut off before he could use it. So in terms of realistic battle, it s kinda hard to say.
@Sujro True, but in the fight with Emiya it had nothing to do with the sword it self. But rather that when both of there swords broke they both tried to get a new sword as soon as possible. But Emiya's swords already existed in the ultimate blade works while Gilgamesh had to take it from the gate of babylon. That's why Emiya was faster. It doesn't really show in the movie but in the game it's explained.
@TBomb15 Uh....Dude, Gilgamesh didn't charge it to the Max. I dont know if even Avalon can fully block MAX Enuma Elish. Not to mention that its been stated Gilgamesh could end the Holy Grail War in an hour if he so felt like it...Thank god for his Charisma making him a haughty bastard XD

Its DEEN, blame them... for me UBW was weakest story vise, but still was important as any of the routes for the outgrowing character, Emiya Shirou. As for my chart goes its like this, HF>=Fate>UBW

To be honest, the UBW movie was *fucking awesome* enough that the poem detail didn't bug me. It would have been nice to have (at the very least) the whole spiel Shirou gives Gil, but the fight itself was so goddamn cool that I'm not too concerned about that.
@SeanTucker858 I thought the fight was lackluster. It lacked sword rains colliding above their heads and continual weapon breaking. It's called Unlimited Blade Works for a reason.

@blakan3 in the movie, Archer and Shirou never say the entire chant to summon unlimited bladeworks. the soundtrack to the movie is awesome, the battle scenes are pretty good, the plot followed the original VN plotline pretty faithfully, but the poem, oh the poem. one of the best moments of the series and the cut it short...

@Quackythedarkduck yea, the anime followed mainly the fate route and the movie follows the unlimited blade works route. but, in my opinion, if you don't know the ubw route from the novel there will be a lot of questions in the movie. for the heaven's feel, i've heard of nothing. but i think if they were to make one for it, it should be an anime, not just a movie (they should've done that for ubw, too >.<) cause there's no way too tell the storie in just a single movie, way too less time...

@blakan3 in the movie, Archer and Shirou never say the entire chant to summon unlimited bladeworks. the soundtrack to the movie is awesome, the battle scenes are pretty good, the plot followed the original VN plotline pretty faithfully, but the poem, oh the poem. one of the best moments of the series and the cut it short...

Wait, I've heard the anime of Fate/stay night was the Fate route. So did they do movies so as to cover Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel then?

@Quackythedarkduck yea, the anime followed mainly the fate route and the movie follows the unlimited blade works route. but, in my opinion, if you don't know the ubw route from the novel there will be a lot of questions in the movie. for the heaven's feel, i've heard of nothing. but i think if they were to make one for it, it should be an anime, not just a movie (they should've done that for ubw, too >.<) cause there's no way too tell the storie in just a single movie, way too less time...
