Well really I just thought it was memorable and had the kind of sound/image we would want. I told it to the drummer and he said he liked it so he told me to check online if anyone else had the name because we don't want trouble in the future if anything ever happens. So no real funny story here. What's the story for how you guys chose your name?

@madahpesojnothgual When we were in school there was this funny little trick to get someone to say the word Shitty. You would tell the unsuspecting person to hold their tongue and say the words Sunshine City. It sounds like Sunshine Shitty. We wanted a name that was cool, yet silly for all these other cover bands in the area that take themselves way too seriously.

We mostly play in bars, people slur our name and it sounds like they are saying Sunshine Shitty.

There is 4 of us, we pretty much like everything, except for country. I'm the drummer I really like Tool and Deftones.

We play some older stuff, Led Zeppelin, CCR, Aerosmith.

We play local bars so we try to play stuff that will go over well with bar patrons( which is usually 80's hair metal).

I went to Vancouver once, I love Vancouver.

What made you guys think of Sunshine City? We have a funny story behind picking that name.

You're right. I was listening to the original and it's so bass heavy, this band does it no justice because of the absence of that huge bass line.
