  • well people like Sky will get somewhere like other future leaders of America unlike the other people these days

  • he goes to my church :D known him for years and years since he was like 9

  • come on this kid has no business at the university.

why can't he study like other normal kids.

  • A prodigy has a choice of any university, and he chooses Florida?

  • Kick Jacob Barnett's assburger butt, bro.

  • why is this supposed to be impressive? educators sucks at recognizing the potential of young students...

  • what a shock, he's asian ...

  • how is this kid is at university an he can barely explain himself

  • damn its a good and bad thing for him good thing hes in a university and got his job almost in his hands bad thing is he missed out in middle school where this kid could have been happier probably,i wanna be a physicist too but damn that doesnt mean im dipping my friends and focusing on school 24/7 like no i also wanna have a life lol.

  • @xHzDxKING This kid can become a great hero of science. We all could, but we put values on stupid things instead of intelligent things. And I remember middle school... university would have been far better, far more useful and far more beneficial to my long term intellectual, physical and spiritual health.

  • I was playing with Lego too when I was 12. But don't tell anybody! : )

  • @lotmein20 i know it was a typo, jeez, relax ur undies

  • @lotmein20 You forgot your full stop. LOL.

  • i was still playing with lego when i was 12

  • ???? V squares = 2 to the pi of 36.5 on 2.4g

    ms

  • It seems like teenagers who have great aptitude for the sciences have a total lack of social skills and charisma. Being really good at math or physics cant make up for not being able to convey to others the joy and wonder of your subject! Perk up god damn it.

This isn't necessarily directed at him but at a great many young people that I go to school with.

I'm pursuing a physics degree as well.

  • I knew the kid was Asian.

  • @QuanSai So a 12-year-old asian dude goes to University?

I wouldn't be expecting anything less.

  • I think when I was going into middle school the only thing on my mind was finger-fucking girls. I'm proof that dumb asses are repopulating more quickerlyer.

  • Id rather be a stud than a nerd. You just get more pussy.

  • @Anotherstupidfool good for you

  • "of course I never attended middle school".... lol how stupid do I feel now

  • the way i see it, these child prodigies just were more interested in learning than all of us. When all we cared about was pokemon and yu-gi-oh or w.e., they were caring about how to integrate a multivariable function. To be honest, i always was intruiged by long strings of equations when i was young, but quite frankly, the newest episode of dragon ball z was more important to me at the time. these kids are smart, and just like to learn, nothing wrong with it, theyre doing what makes them happy

  • lol, hes asian. of course

  • @Lightclops

You're a racist piece of shit

  • @takadi hey, it was just a joke. dont get all worked up :p

  • @takadi Well idk if what he said is racist since being smart is a good thing.

  • Wisdom > Knowledge. LOL Fact: No wisdom was applied to the manufacture of the atomic bomb. How is this known? The nuclear bombs existence is one piece of evidence. If wisdom was applied to the knowledge the application would have never occurred. This kid has the capacity to integrate ethics and philosophy to his knowledge. Plus he's Asian. I'm sure he has teachers in spirituality and consciousness. I hope he does. He will be better enabled to disseminate his knowledge base with wisdom

  • @tonybeir Your orchestra analogy was horrible btw. He is living his life the best he can by absorbing as much knowledge and expanding knowledge as we know it. But hey, you don't have to live your life trying to expand your knowledge, which is what you value. Just enjoy life instead of trying to reach past current achievements is what you basically said. When he's old, he'll probably realize how much knowledge he has and how much he's contributed to the world and our understanding of the universe

  • @xXRoxasKH2Xx LOL what achievements? getting a degree at 12 is NOT an achievement that means anything... we haven't seen anything yet and research shows that "child prodigies" are no more successful than regular people... the only difference is that child prodigies wasted their childhoods and some people are impressed with them for no good reason.

  • @tonybeir I think somebody is jealous... :3

  • this kid will be 18 with college degrees..and big house and so many hoes. keep it up bro

  • I was into boobs at 12

  • This is possible....having a college student so young at age.

I'm junior college nursing student, and I'm 19.

But actually there are lots of college student who's age is below 16.

  • There is a kid in Year 2 at my school who is currently studying Year 11 Chemistry. I've never enjoyed or found Chemistry that interesting, but to be honest, it makes me feel like a dumb ass, along with the majority of my year group.

  • where i live, even if you are smarter than albert einstein when u r only 14 they would not move you higher, i am finding my classes sooo easy i wanna move to university now, i know a lot lot lot of advanced physics, stuff you need to know in university but they dont move me, if i was in america i would be moved already. btw i am not saying i am smarter than einstein lol that was exaggeration

  • @Shift4chizzle if you smart then learn to spell

  • @freesemag nah, i can spell fine its just the internet, it is so funny how when people cant find anything else to say about you they go straight to the spelling and grammer. it is friggin' youtube you dont need to try extra hard to be a perfect little speller, it is just spoken language, u can use abbreviations, logograms anything! this isnt an english essay and i am typing this really quickly, and but if u do want to go into grammer, u forgot ur capital letter and full stops,

  • @freesemag i had to write this in another box cos i was running out of characters, anyway.... you also but "if you so smart" which does not make any sense it supposed to be if you're so smart. haha before you try to "diss" anyone else about their grammer you should worry about yours first.

  • Bullshit. How could he know what even physics is at sixth grade?

From where did he learn math of all six grades that he skipped.

of course you can skip all physics classes in school because there is nothing interesting at that period . When I attended gymnasium i knew much more than my teacher. But math, I don't know

  • Aren't most geniuses female?

  • @youngdones You mean paris hilton and victoria beckham verses einstein and leonardo?... er... no! LOL!

  • @youngdones lol hell no

  • Join Michio Kaku's big think blog!!

  • That is awesome! I'm eleven and I am a physicist too. I subscribed to your channel so you can also see mine! Rock on!

  • good on him!

  • well im 12 to not as smart as him but i have been studying physics for a while he just got a head start lucky.

"Those adults and there inferior minds will never understand untill im 14 in college winning my nobel prize for discovering a monopole"

  • What a kid..

  • lol

  • Sky is the coolest kid ever. We played basketball and he actually hit a few shots on some bigger guys. Most people like Sky are socially awkward and extremely nerdy, but he's honestly a really cool kid, and you wouldn't even know his situation by just talking to him.

  • Haha, this kid is in my ENC-1101 class!

  • I'm 13 and I found this video. And it's funny that I want To learn physics too. I currently studying it a lot by my self. You need to know a little math though.

  • A little? *chuckle*

  • I had physics seminar with this kid. CP 201

To all the people feeling envy:

The hardest lesson to learn in life is that when you get old and find out there is no finish line. Life is not about getting somewere.

Think about it this way. The best orchestra in the world is not the one that can finish the music first or play the most pieces in the shortest amount of time.

why would anybody be jealous of this guy?

I feel sorry for the little guy when he becomes an adult he rushed towards nothing.

  • @tonybeir WELL SAID MA NIGGA... THAT'S WHY I ALWAYS WISHED I WAS STILL IN GRADE 1... MAN MISS THOSE KINDERGARDEN YEARS NOT A SINGLE WORRY IN THE WORLD...

  • @tonybeir Rushed towards nothing? Are you fucking stupid? Are you saying there's no point in striving for success? That there's no point in achieving goals that will have ageless benefits for the world? He will do more for the world than you will ever contribute. Don't spread such nonsense ideology.

  • @tonybeir REALLY?! Rushed towards nothing? He's not rushing anything. Who are you to say that all his achievements are for nothing when you don't have his intellect? It's not rushing anything but it's merely the quest for knowledge. Where did you even get this idea that he's rushing towards a finish line? We are jealous of him because he has the mental aptitude to achieve what we can do with little effort and time.

  • well when you break it down to the atomic level it's fascinating how the universe looks completely different. The knowledge of physics is the cure to naive realism that we're born with. I think that is what the kid meant but simply doesn't have the language skills to express what he is thinking yet. The fact that he is great at understanding physics doesn't mean he is good at everything.

  • Dang!! He's a beast!! ProPz 4 him!!!!!!!

  • OKAY..smarty pants. well smarter then what he should be. im jealous D:

  • lol this kid, what does he know what he wants to do, this kid is arrogant lol just like me, i never experienced high school either and went to a much respectable school, but oh well, university is easier than high school though, high school is a pain in the a**

  • (Cue cheesy game show music)

In today's program we have another non-white achieving something extraordinary. You may remember yesterday's episode when a black man became president. Today we have a young Asian boy who excels in physics. Let's hear what our contestants have to say in today's episode of "Let's Make It About Race!"

  • lol

  • People are so negative. That's some seriously good work for a 12 year old. In the grand scheme of things, he might just be another physicist when he gets older and other people catch up..but he's been put into some amazing circumstances. Wouldn't anyone take advantage of that if it was them?

I wish him the best =] The world needs more people that are passionate about something.

  • i agree with u =]

  • At 12 how can anyone possible know they want to be a physicisisisisisist. Infact at 12, his knowledge of physics must be extremely limited. Unis shouldn't let minors in.

  • Jealous much? Give the kid some credit. Did you attend a University at 12?

  • @mlatorre61 That is why most people are jealous. LOL. But it is good because then the human race will advance quicker.

  • I think he must have some knowledge of physics attending a university. But really. He is young.

Do you think being a physicist is his wish or his parents?

He has yet to develop his personality, his philosophy about life. He does not yet have any motivation that is his own.

    He is too young.

  • No, did you not catch him say that he's been around 'normal' 12 year olds and it would've been painful to be around them? In other words, he was blessed being born as a prodigy.

  • i saw him the other day in the math department in FIU. And he's only part asian, his mom is actually white!

  • Why am I not surprised that he's Asian?

And don't pull that PC bullshit on me!

  • Why do people want to rush through life?

  • I was an aspiring 12 year old physicist too, I didn't know anything about physics... But I aspired!

  • Too bad he's gong to turn into a Illuminist when they prong there hands on him, lol.

  • Its quite sad, i'm 14 and still in middle school, and he is 12 and in college. I can understand how he feels though, because kids his age are still going though things, and find the oppsite sex still gross. And i college its.. you know. also he will never have a girlfriend in school

  • Well, I understand what this young man is going through. I was labeled a "gifted child" and I had the opportunity to attend a couple of different universities in my early teens. I cringe when he says "I've seen normal twelve year olds." I used to feel the same. In fact, I once considered people my age inferior. But, you grow up and realize that each and every one of us have individual talents. In any case, there is nothing wrong with encouraging competitiveness. Thank you.

  • I wanted to be a ninja when I was 12.

  • @JibbyKills because your dumb

  • @FIGHTFANNERD3 Because my what...? Oh! You meant to say "you are dumb," not "your dumb."

  • This kid isn't that much different than any other kid. He just has intelligent parents who taught him properly. Instead of putting your kids in front of a TV all day, teach them. Sadly most parents aren't intelligent enough to teach their own children. Hence the massive amount of stupid people in this country.

  • @PathofReason moron your born smart not mad

  • @PathofReason what about ur self?

  • He is NEVER going to get LAID!

  • HE will possibly have enough money in the future to get laid with everyone on this planet if he studies hard enough

  • Smart kid!

  • oohhh yh this kid came 2 my school yesterday hes funny

  • interesting

  • imagine him teaching students physics.... at 17

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Kudos!

  • good guy wish if i was good like him

  • i wish i was like you hiii hiii hiii

  • what is wrong with you people?

you are missing the fact that he's special.. he is 12 and he is taking classes that most of us would struggle to pass with a C average... forget about race and just admire the kid for what he is..

  • we don't care if he's Asian ,American or European, we hope he will be an excellent scientist

  • WOW. I need his brain....ha! This kid is amazing. mmmhhmmm...

  • u people are racist if u say that hes smart just cus hes asian

  • Atcually his father is Korean and mother is white.

  • are you saying korean isnt asian?

  • yea that does suck not having friends your age. .

    but dang your SMART!!genius!

youll be hecka rich when you grow up

  • why would you, a stranger, be proud?

  • he is pretty cute...he's going to be one hot 18 year old...

  • what the fuck...

  • wow go figure hes asian!

  • hahahaha....this contributes more to the saying that "Asians are smart..."

  • Actually Europe also has quite a few young prodigies

  • He's not even completely Asian, his father's Korean and his mother is White.

  • its always kids these days have intellegance, that can pass on to a higher grade, its in thier blood, but everytime I read story like this makes me feel more dumber that i can't even afford school, or have better grades than a gifted kid. I feel too stupid.

  • You are not alone. There are plenty of people out there, actually a whole lot of people out there that are normal. Embrace yourself.

  • don't be man....we all of different level of intelligence...don't feel bad because there's a young kid doing this a that...be glad that he'll later contributes to the world that's really in needs of GREAT contribution....

  • Jesus!

  • Nice! Think of all the time he has in his life. He will be done by the time he is Twenty! From there who knows what things he'll be capable of. God speed to you!

  • HOLY MACRO!!!!!

    he is a GENIUS

  • holey moley. Congrats to this gifted kid. he'll do some good in this world :)

    and he's darling!

  • Great job kid

    good luck in life

  • i cant believe he went from elementry school to college.

what an insane transition for him- genius or not.

  • One question, Why FIU? I'd expect Harvard, MIT, Yale, Standford.. and such... but FIU?...

  • Because its the best public university in all southern FL and who doesn't love Miami? ... ass

  • It's the only public school in South Florida (which is really Dade and Broward).

  • He was too young to live on his own, and they weren't ready to move so he could attend one of his dream schools: "Cal Tech, MIT or Princeton," Choi said.

The decision was to home-school Sky and dual-enroll him at FIU. He will graduate high school in May and begin his official college career at the Miami campus this fall with enough credits to start as a sophomore. He wants to get a doctorate from one of his dream schools and have a career as a physicist. -- Sun Sentinel

  • MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Harvard, Berkeley, etc...aren'tt eh only great schools to go to. What's wrong with FIU????

  • Kudos to FIU for being open-minded!

  • This kid is in one of my classes at FIU. I just think people should know that he's a really nice kid too. Big future ahead of him.

  • i dunno about child prodigies...if all our children wud turn the fucking tv off maybe they'd all be like him...good for you sky...i'm glad your parents instiled such great values in you..knowledge is everything!

  • Haha! Coronaqueen, I think you're jealous! On the subject of intellects, have you consider spell check?

  • no i dont think so....notice how child prodigies never come from poor backgrounds...every child prodigie's parents have the education, finances and the will to make a genius..actually i think im making sense! Children have an enormous ability to absorb information at a young age..it makes things such a billinguality possible so......i dont know tommy honger if you assumtion of jealousy is correct and I-N-S-T-I-L-L-E-D...there u go!

  • and if you are anal about more spelling errors

    *child prodigy's

    *your assumtion

sorry that i type faster than i check!

  • have you? - The word you are looking for is 'considered'.

  • how? lol
