Both of those songs were from traditional Irish songs. Jimmy Page based his White Summer off of Davy Graham's She moved through the Fair. Black Mountainside was based loosely on Black Waterside by Bert Jansch. Although neither of the other two wrote those songs seeing as Annie Briggs done her own version of Black Waterside.
I love Robert Plant's sarcasm in the beginning. It really did change that much though. Hard to believe though cause they had it in their setlist from 1970 to 1977, I believe, although I have seen a really good 1980 version come about.
White Summer and Black Mountainside are Jimmy's master pieces. Both of those songs were influenced by traditional irish tunes. Although I don't believe Bert Jansch wrote the song of his either(in reference to Black Waterside, a tune similar to BMS.)

It would be awesome if they had this transcribed and put into music notation. Would be awesome, but I would think that would be a mission.
