Thanks for uploading this! Most of us didn't see this cuz we were too busy shooting Gekko. Mgs4 answers the question "Can Raiden really be cool?," and that HAS to be the last of Vamp. The syringe supressed the nanomachines in his body that heal him so quick, and that stab HAD to kill him, he couldn't have healed that.

before i found this clip all i could catch was the occasional glimpse of the fight while i handled the gekkos. the fight was way more intense than i thought. it looked like vamp totally had him owned at owned at one point.

He's technically a vampire because he likes drinking the blood of his victims. As to where he acquired the taste for it, check out MGS2. His background is mentioned in a Codec conversation. MGS2 also tells you why he's called, "Vamp". (Apparently, he's a switcher.)

It's a psychological thing. According to the Metal Gear Wiki "The vehicle makes noises similar to Japanese Cicadas and Bovines in order to lure the enemy into a false sense of security before attacking." Think about it, would you run for your life if you heard a cow, or a blood chilling war cry?

I read in an interview that the reason why the Gekkos make that sound is to set the enemies at ease. They are also supposed to make the sound of a cicadas in the summertime, but you don't really here that. Plus they are always dispatched primarily outside, so i guess a cow mooing on a battlefield would be ignored by most combatants...I guess.

If a battle went quiet, and all of a sudden I heard cows mooing when cows weren't mooing before, I wouldn't pop my head out of cover. I would be knocked for a loop, certainly, but I wouldn't be like, "Ooh, cows. I like cows. Let me just get a look-see, and maybe I can pet it!"
