Yeah, I saw the movie Monday, and I didn't think he came off that bad. I mean he was a little focused, and anti-social, and a little vengful but not like the "devil" or anything.
I don't know. I mean, how many times do two movies come out within months of each other, with very similar premisses?
It happens all the time. "The American President" sounds different enough from the President elopes to have been an original Sorkin idea. And the West Wing clearly came out of that. In fact, much of what was cut from the American President made it into the west wing.
Aaron Sorkin additted to Variety that he had read the Babaloo Mandel-Lowell Ganz draft of the William Richert-Kyle Morris script THE PRESIDENT ELOPES, prior to writing THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT.
Robert Redford's producer Barbara Maltby (who produced ORDINARY PEOPLE) wrote an article in The Advocate that she had been developing THE PRESIDENT ELOPES with William Richert since 1982. The script was circulating around Castlerock, where Sorkin found it and stole from it.
@Silverwire100 Dude I hate to say it, but that's Hollywood. Originality is gone for the most part from New/Current Hollywood. Back in the day, say old Hollywood, people were somewhat genuine and honest. This is showbiz; friend. Same applies to just business in general. If someone has an idea and trusts another person too much and that person profits from the idea and makes it better. Well then the person lost out. It's not fair but it's how most things work. Marketing is also a key factor.
Fincher is a freaking king. The guy is a model of perfection, pure genius.

Sorkin seems like a pretentious douchebag himself, but I still love him and this movie. Fincher is king.

Thanks for the upload. The truth is in between but more than likely Zuck's a dick. I've seen him in interviews, coming off as a phony.

@17R3W
Aaron Sorkin is a plagiarist. He stole THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT and THE WEST WING from William Richert and Kyle Morris.
See my channel for evidence.

@17R3W
Aaron Sorkin stole my friend William Richert's THE PRESIDENT ELOPES. Sorkin used this script to create both THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT and THE WEST WING.
William Richert even had a version of THE PRESIDENT ELOPES called THE EXECUTIVE WING (which Sorkin obviously changed to THE WEST WING).
See my video Richert-Morris vs. Sorkin for evidence.
