according to one of the creators of ben 10

he used to watch ultraman in his childhood

so they made an idea of modeling way big (who looks like ultraman very much)

and notice if the omnitrix loses its time limit it blinks red like the color timer of all the ultra heroes (ultraseven and ultraseven 21 does not have one but the crystal on there forehead count as one) the whole ultraman series started in 1966 and spawned MANY AND MANY AND MANY OF SEQUELS EVEN now in 2011! due to its popularity

Uhh....The Omnitrix has 1,000,903 (Sorted into sets of 10 for simplicity) DNA. Azmuth simply unlocked it for him. The bonus 3 are Benwolf, Benmummy, and Benviktor, which he added by accident.
