This missle was VERY accurate. The only problem was that it's radio link was primitive, and could be taken over by others, whop could "re-direct" the missle. I was stationed with the 5th Missle Battalion, 39th Artillery in Bamberg, Germany during the Cuban Missle Crisis. We had 3 misslies, armed with nuclear warheads, ready to fire on 5 minutes notice. We stayed at that alert level for 21 days (long after civilians in the USA thought it was all over and done with.
