Some of their new music makes them sound like an Australian version of The Beatles, which is a good thing. But Diorama and all of their rock/alt rock music from before YM is better, in my opinion. Could be because I'm 23, and the early millennium and 90's rock (mainly late 90's...I was little in the early to mid 90's) influenced me a lot. Directly and indirectly.

Better than the faux kind of Nirvana stuff, the weirder he gets the better. A shame that a lot of folks want some kind of bogan rock from them, when the guy' s clearly a great, eccentric talent.

it would be great, but i don't think it's possible, since you're so sure that this kind of pop is trash. i don't believe this album can really get to you. actually, it took me 2 years to like, because i could see it reminded me of the psychadelic music plyaed in my country, Brazil, in the mid 60's, as bands like Mutantes and Secos e Molhados in mid 70's. but maybe you like the b-sides, i admit they're better than most of the official album songs
