dood nuts you are familiar with RS!!! I'd rather introduce you to a community out there instead of trying to give it all from just me. Awesome omg... dude haha. It is a lie detector, and it can be used in many ways. For instance just state what you believe to be certainty, and the reverse will come back either with words expression a negative entity, or "myth", there's also a lot of vocabulary to learn, i can't explain it all here so I'll mail you the link, I hope you join the rs community.
OK, I got the link and I'll check it out. My interests are wide and varied and I cannot recall where exactly I learned of RS. I have read some stuff about it where folks were trying it out on politicians. Its also interesting that you mention lie detection as I just caught a TV show where investigators were checking out test administrators. There it was interesting to see how much information can be gained in an interview just by implying the machine found something.
oh boy, anything reptilian discovered before august of 09, literally them. You struck gold with this cemetary however hopefully you've had more tools to examine it rather than your eyes or forwards speech from a recorder or evp.
I thought about getting some type of RF meter. I was thinking it would be interesting to see how it would read in there. I should also mention that there are several cell phone towers about a hundred yards from the cemetery. Also, fairly close is a FAA radar site. Which is why my RF idea is a low priority. A voice recorder could be a good experiment.
@ipfeldspar aim cheap for a digital recorder when it comes to prices, the ones more upscaled are designed to actually mute it, or cover evp noises over medium noises with bass, surround sound, etc... same goes for headphones too. Ah and also, if you are going to take this route, look into reverse speech, once you become proficient at this, there is no stopping you, especially them evp's... they aren't safe for the most part, reverse exposes them as reps, nuts. Great work and effort..
You think like I do... Yup, electronics are interesting. I would do exactly as you say; record the full audio spectrum and only later try to filter the sound. I am familiar with reverse speech but only from the subject of lie detection. How does RS connect with hauntings? Thank-You for all the interest. I hoping to make another trip over there if it snows. Winter is the only season where I have not visited this location.
I started going there before there was a Google map feature. Then, I had to ask around and was waylaid several times. Then, and now, the Forest Preserve does not want to advertise the place. I wonder if Google Earth puts ghosts icons on its map for BG?
Lol something tells me Velma and Daphne were not with you...or any ladies for that matter :P
Cant park there at night and are not allowed in the woods at night. Basically the same as any woods but they are a bit harsher cuz they get sick of punks coming in there.
No, the girls always act interested up to the point when we get ready to go. Then they usually find a reason to put the visit off a little longer. You are right about night access. It's either take a chance at getting locked in the Forest Preserve overnight, or taking a very long walk. When I think about the traffic around there, I have considered the possibility of being splattered by a car, and then becoming the newest ghost in the neighborhood!
You are right about the punks. I started visiting there about fifteen years ago. At that time, one of the graves was partially excavated. It is a very low form of life that would desecrate a grave!
@ipfeldspar We parked in some apartment complex not far from some church (had a statue of Mary by the road) and then we hooked a right and walked straight for a long time before that path entrance opened up. There were some cars, but none of them cops. We got lucky. I suppose if we were really smart...we could have cut over somewhere by the pond and just walked through the woods. But that was risking face plants through spider webs and getting muddy...not to mention lost!
There is another possible way... The old Midlothian Turnpike is now a trail through the preserve. West of the cemetery, this road/trail comes out into a Preserve parking area. (South Ridgeland Avenue). It means a bit of a nature hike (like you describe) but it would get you in there without having to be observed from the usual entrance. I would be leery of going in by the lagoon. As I have stated previously; I do not want to become the cemeteries newest haunt!
The last time I went with a buddy to the Grove, TWO of my video camera batteries died out as we were walking down the entrance trail. We didn't really see anything unusual at first, but as we explored other areas and headed back to the road, we somehow ended up on the opposite side of the street. So, no ghosts but we did manage to teleport.
After hours or during the day? The last time I went, I stayed just past sunset, and the Forest Preserve Police gave me a hard time when I returned to the car. No ticket though. They told me that after hours in the Preserve is a $ 75.00 Fine.
@pardes333 LOL! I've gone in there with friends in the daytime and no one bothered us. But a few years back, I went in there and it was close to Halloween, with my son and some friends...all grown kids, and it was scary at night!! We had flashlights but it was scary!! We were surprised by a cop who sat in there all night long around Halloween. He threatened to fine us $1000 for trespassing but we talked him out of it. I could never stay in there by myself like that!
Yeah, the cops we met tried very hard to intimidate us. I just don't think they really had the heart to give us a ticket. Any year, there must be hundreds of people in there and the police probable only bother with the more obnoxious visitors. As far as being creeped out; I think forest preserve parking areas are much worse. There are way too many weirdos that hang out there!
@ipfeldspar Yeah, LOL, there are some satanic-goth wannabe's that go in there and do their hocus pocus b.s.!! I wanted to mention also that the cop that was sitting against a tree that night absolutely wreaked of hard liquor! Maybe it was the only way he could get through the night. He assured us over and over that no matter how many times he had been in there at night, there was NO GHOSTS at all in there! Me thinks he doth protest too much! I think he was creeped up in there!
I have heard people getting busted but I have never heard of a cop INSIDE the cemetery grounds (unless of course they have reason to enter...ie spotting punks going in). But ya...I would be spooked if I was alone in the woods too...regardless of my firearm.
i went yesterday that shit was crazy we only made it to the gate in walk in a lil bit it was about 15 of us but only 9 of us went in yall should try it in a group
Thank you so much for posting this. My sister and I tried to find it a couple of weeks ago with no luck. We were over at the parking area that says Bachelor's Grove Woods. This helps a bunch!!!!
The first two times I went looking for it I was miles away. I had even asked locals and the freaks in the woods and had no luck. I finally figured it out from an old map.
When you go there watch out for the weirdos and try to pick up some trash, every little bit helps.
heading away from harlem on 143rd street. you make a left on ridgeland and drive down and you will see it on the left. Its a bit of walk. about a 10 to 15 minute walk. your not meant to walk that way so the side is very narrow and no concrete, all grass. If your not up for that I suggest have someone drop you off and have them wait by the coldstone ice cream place and wait for your call.
I was up there once in the early evening. I did not stay too late because the car was in the FP lot. That night some guy had two dogs with him. The two dogs started barking at something about ten feet off the ground. I did not see anything but the two dogs were in different places. They both were tracking the same invisible object about ten feet off the ground. Either the dogs did see something or the dogs owner had them trained really good to mess with peoples heads!
thats pretty awesome! I had one were it had be paranormal. the first time I went up there I was with my friends. It took us a while to find this place and we enter around 6:00. We sat there for an hour and we kept on hearing what sounded like the beginning of a ambulance siren. Over and over. We then decided to call it a night and leave. when were halfway down the path there was this loud scream and this green light lit up everything. we ran out and got to are car. I can't explain it.
I was there before at night a couple of times. I went there today, but you got to come prepared because they close the parking lot around 6:30 pm. We had to walk from the coldstone ice cream shop to get there and it was pitch black in that forest. always bring a flashlight. If anyone goes you'll experience something. I have several things happen to me and my friends. I also know a couple of people who went up there and experience some freaky stuff.
