I am laughing at Congress wanting equal pay because when I was intern in d.c. in 2005-06 I dated a congressional aide who told me that there is no uniform salaries for staffers who work for Senator and congress people. The politician can pay their help form $7,000 to $27,000 and health insurance is not free like teh Senators and members of congress, no benefits like using the House gym for free.
