  • one of my faves too- after outdoor miner & map ref

  • Fantastic song ! Thanks for sharing ! :))

  • Cool sound! I love it. So nice of you to upload it!

  • @RenaissanceTheMan grazie!^_^

  • Probably my favourite WIRE song.

  • @yoyo3man So tough to choose a favorite but this would be right up there.

  • Even after 31 years, this in my opinion is one of the best pieces of music you could ever hope to hear. There are NO better groups than Wire! :)

  • @saintrobski I agree with you this song is pure poetry..unfortunately 154 is for me the only album of Wire I can listen

and listen since 30 years!! They had a creativity on this album they never found again.

Something "intemporel" like "Seventeen Seconds" of the Cure or "Rock Bottom" from Robert Wyatt...

  • @coolxan1 Hey don't demonize me. I'm a fellow fan of Wire. I just don't understand why people like this have to comment like they do.

  • If you don't like this song then click off of youtube, insert your Justin beiber cd, reach into the top drawer, grab loaded glock, insert in mouth (aim towards the root of mouth), pull trigger and show the world how small your brain really was.

  • 154 Forever in my life!

  • 154er for life

  • Masterpiece

  • This is the most stirring Wire song from the first three albums.

  • Can't believe this song only has a little over 4,000 plays? FTW.

  • smells like the 90's...:)

  • so good, i've bought all their LP in 79, 80, 81, and there after. I've never been back from 154!

  • God, Colin's voice is amazing.

  • One of their best songs, SUPERB, and probably the only WIRE song to have an Oboe on it (at 2:58)..... (^_^)

  • one of my favourite too, good choice :)

  • @warmswarm also, at 1:57...

  • @warmswarm - I don't know if it's coincidence but this brilliant track reminds me of early Roxy Music. Perhaps Andy Mackay played Oboe on this too. (I know he didn't really) Wire are up there with Roxy in my opinion.

  • thank you so much, i've never heard so much good dark (?) music since the '80

  • I'm 43 and I can't believe I've never heard these guys before! I'm addicted now.

  • Amazing AMAZING. The ending is my favorite.

  • the ending is beautiful isn't it :-)

  • It really, really is!

  • Tried to tell my music mates way back in the 70,s that this was seminal and they would not listen.

Needless to say, they are long gone those so called music mates.

  • Absolutely wonderful. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to it...headphones on...eyes closed...

    It's a transcendent song.

  • my favorite wire song actually

  • Yeah, five stars.
