American fighter planes carrying toxic chemicals would fly over the Vietnam forests spraying the chemical all over the trees and plants, which would cause them to decay and expose the guerrilla soldiers hiding under these plants or trees. This chemical however intoxicated the Vietnamese soldiers, causing their children to be born deformed or retarded. The song describes the chemicals falling down in rain on sunny days in Vietnam.

Great cover version of a great original.Even though Rod has a harsh voice this numbers comes over with a softer sound to Tom Foggetys.

The skilled backing arrangement has produced a more sophisitcated sound.
