Ouch... In my friend's regatta, she had an asthma attack during the last 200 meters. Caught a crab so bad she was concussed. Cost them the race.

DAMN. Crabs sucked, we lost our head race this weekend because our 4 seat caught one early on and the other boats noticed and saw it as a good chance to pull their power 10.

rowing in water like that, you have a more chance of catching a crab.

I have a problem I am a novice rower and when try to set boat the oar keeps digging into the water. Even try turning the oar and it still dig. How can i fix this problem is it because my wrist is bending.

I caught 12 in a day. the wind was awful but we were rowing in the most awful 8 and i was bow seat. the 8 was wooden too.

@XxStillxxAlivex its when you dont lift your oar out of the water enough, and it gets stuck in the water, but because the boats moving so fast the oar whips back and hits you

one time a cox on my team passed too close to a bridge piling, ejecting the 5 seat when his oar hit it at full speed.

it was the "D" boat, and the 6 seat was this 250lb+ football player, who stopped playing after a concussion to try rowing. he just picked the guy up out of the water and set him back in the boat.

If it weren't for whitecap rowing my school would have maybe 5 practices a season. Some programs have to deal with it. We actually hope for the worst raceable weather at competitions, because then we kill !!!!
