None of these people look like theve ever had more than a part time job. Im sorry but without order and workers nothing happens. I dont agree with capitalism but how do you change the system without a lot of people dying. And of course we need a police force because individually humans are smart but as a mob were dumb.
Lol no need for authority? You think without cops natural born killers would stop killing? Lmfao cops save idiots like this from the real people who don't give a shit for law or life.
im 100% for anarchy!! the filthy rich bastards who control the money supply and wealth are very afraid of anarchy!!! because anarchy sets men free. with anarchy these elite rich cocksuckers cant control us and be richer every day while we get poorer!! fuk the system embrace anarchy!
Younger generation anarchists need to know their roots as Anarchists. These guys seem to be followers and only interested in fighting authority. That's only one little unit. Anarchism was born out of Marxism. It was the idea that communism cannot work properly with a centralized government. They were right look at the USSR, Cuba, China, and all the other communist countries. Instead Anarchists believe in creating a communist/socialist nation through a very decentralized and democratic governmen
What a liar those anarchists are socialists. That's how anarcho-syndicalism came about, 98% of anarchists are non-statists socialists or non-statist communists (commonly called Anarcho-communism). Anarchists can be left or right wing (American Libertarian party example of right wing Anarchism).
The truth of the matter is ironically, if true anarchy prevailed, the first casualties will be these very people. They know not of what they speak. Their ignorance and lack of understanding portrayed here is astounding. So sad that their anger is misdirected.
quit dissing the anarchists. im an anarchist, and honestly i must say that i have no desire to rape, kill, or steal, because most anarchists are non-violent and most have moral values. they are only doing these violent actions to defy against the police brute scumbags that wounded and maimed innocent protesters to protect their bastard illuminati leaders!! fuck police and hierarchy!!!
Hey, I didn't see the police smashing windows and setting cop cars on fire! You know maybe if they actually did stuff to show we don't need a government instead of doing things that make everybody say "quick call the police! Quick call the fire department!" I'd come around to their point of view.
They violated the 1st amendment rights of hundreds of people, smashed journalists' cameras, tear gassed students inside dormitories, arrested hundreds of non-rioting peaceful demonstrators and their paycheck comes from taxes which is hardly voluntary.
And even when they're not abusing their power, the fact remains that governments/police are defined by their ability to perpetrate violence with a degree of legitimacy. That's why it's called "arrest" instead of "kidnapping".
Also I don't think their aim is to make you agree with them. Because police/state violence carries with it a degree of ideological legitimacy people just accept it. Thus much of the anarcho-strategy surrounds exposing the weaknesses of police and of state policy -- hence rioting, destruction of capitalist properties like banks and businesses, etc. It shows that police are not capable of catching criminals and often use the opportunity to just harass everyone.
@KevinDolin : people who close their minds off to the ideas proposed by anarchists are some of the dumbest people around..you have no understanding of it, or at least thats how you sound when you make remarks like that, yet you shoot it down.
anarchists recognize that working with the state will only lead to the recreation of another regime that exists and profits off of the labor of the working class. we dont ask for anything politely, governments can't be "reformed".. they exist to exploit
@mufongo You are oblivious to reality, sorry. The absence of government would do absolutely nothing to prevent exploitation of the working class. The working class is already exploited even with the state passing laws that attempt to protect them.
Removing government that enforces laws for workplace safety standards, minimum wages, etc will not improve anything for the working class.
Your position is all buzzwords and catchphrases, no substance.
@KevinDolin : what I'm proposing is self-governance in a non-hierarchical and anti-authoritarian manner, which is very possible and has been attempted many times throughout history.. the state is exploiting the working class, you seem to believe it exists to protect workers, but instead the extent to which it actually listens to workers is only when there seems to be a financial incentive. Bureaucratic unions collaborate with the state, but that's a whole other discussion.
So the dreads, duct taped backpacks and dirty clothes make them upper class? And what does that even mean, upper class accents?? Do lower class people have different accents than other classes?
All these kids come from rich families. They feel guilt about of their sheltered and privileged childhood and react traumatically when they go off to university and learn about world affairs. They are just kids with an inflated sense of self importance.
These anarchist do lack the fundamental intelligence needed now and days. If these anarchist groups were serious about what they believed in it would help there cause a lot more if they spend an extra time catching up in their historical, social and political studies rather than in their juvenile fiasco. In addition to that, it would also help if they left behind the "Mary Jane" and practiced some public speaking because would help convey your thoughts properly to someone other than yourselves.
Thanks for making this videos. It supports the government placed provocateurs theory, since anarchists are, in general, peaceful. I would have asked the question about how they feel when other "anarchists" fully covered, cause chaos and damage, or throw stones to "provoke" police brutality. More powerful than smashing windows and setting cars ablaze is the act of boycotting. That will hit them harder, when their profits go down.
What the man in the video is attempting to say is that crime is the result of exploitation and of social antagonism between groups, that a society without hierarchy and without systems of exploitation would have significantly less crime, a view also expressed by such great minds as Aristotle. They maintain that people are malleable, and that a society based on violence and coercion will produce violent, coercive people.
In an anarchist society where everyone shares a collective spirit - it will boil down to the strongest will survive. These guys (all 150lbs of them) would be killed first!!
@Aa100677657 Typical ignorance. Anarchism means 'no hierarchy', not 'no rules' or 'no laws'. It rejects government's civil law code in favor of inclusive polycentric conflict resolution systems, such as the common law and customary law systems that have governed in the past and can be brought to work again. Indeed, anarchy is the rule of law, with equal protection applying to all, and no exception for a privileged monopoly of violence.
Wow, these people are protesting any form of hierarchy in our society and they justify it by saying that everyone is "naturally" good. So in turn, we should break down any success had by business owners by destroying their property.... My favorite part is easily 2:29 when the guy with the dreads says "they don't want disorganization" maybe he forgot what anarchy stands for - complete disorganization of social structures in a hope that everyone will just get along.... fail
@filly0600 Actually, anarchy means the absence of hierarchy and the presence of strong, nonhierarchical social organizations, such as federations and democracies.
@CrawdaddyJoe Anarchy would eventually turn into a dog eat dog society where the strong survive. Who would the strong be? That would be the gang with the most power..... hmmm sounds like a system free of heiarchy to me....
@CrawdaddyJoe Education? Don't make me laugh young child... If you would like to enlighten me and give these G20 anarchists some ground to stand on, how about you give us an example in human history where an anarchist society was successful and could be comparable to our current day?
@filly0600 I'm an adult, and the Icelandic Commonwealth, Gaelic Ireland, and common law communities were all examples of non-state societies. Xeer law governed Somalia for 1000 years. When they thought up democracy, did they turn back because some cockamamie reactionary said it had never been fulfilled completely before? Your argument fails.
@CrawdaddyJoe I want an example of a full out anarchist community with no hierarchy at all, that you feel is comparable to current day, because if you look past your parents wikipedia homepage you would see that some of your own examples have systems of hierarchy within them... On second thought, maybe you should just pull your hoodie tighter and go hit the streets of the G20 robbing stores with your pals from the video, that will get your ideas out there for everyone to understand wont it?
@filly0600 The anarchist revolutions in Spain created large-scale successful anarchist communities until the Stalinists and Republicans suppressed them and the Fascists won the war. There were also anarchist societies in the Ukraine and Russia. Anarchist communities currently exist in Chiapas (Zapatistas) and the South African shack movement. Anarchist communes exist around the world. Also, I am not a Black Bloc-er.
You people who like to criticize anarchism, do some basic reading about the philosophy first and then make your analysis. It's fine to voice an opinion but know what the theory is about before you make a statement so your critique isn't based on false premises.
I dont know how they got across that bridge! I remember at least 6 national guardsmen there. But I guess most of them were in Lawranceville where I was.
For the record I don't think the interviewer was stupid, she was saying all the same loaded shite that everyone else thinks. Ideological hegemony goes pretty far, most people cannot even conceive of the idea that crime is a social problem rather than just some rotten apples, most people ignore socialization, most people trust cops, etc. She was smart to ask questions; then again, it wasn't the fullest interview. The only dumb part was when she asked if they had participated in the actions
Hey vikingbeaner, just wondering why you think I'm an idiot. I know absolutely nothing about anarchism and was just asking the source. It seemed important to me to ask them rather than to simply go by what the media was saying about them.
*that, is they choose to avoid the term, not the idea of socialism -- that is, that workers run their work places rather than having them autocratically controlled by a boss or investor.

Do they really think that it's not in human nature to be violent. They are stupider than I thought.
