when i saw the trailer of this episode the first time and when i saw those couple of scenes between jack and locke i know for shure that those scene's of those two might be the best thing of the hole finale and i was right.

@njf1208 In case you hadn't heard Emmerson and O'Quinn ARE doing another show together, I believe it's called Odd Jobs, the two play CIA agents, or something along those lines. I'm pretty sure it's a comedy though.......

Thats what I always pictured for a good "alternate ending"- dont get me wrong I love the ending as is- I pictured a resurrected Locke killing the bad one, then Locke and Ben sitting together on the beach (left alone on the island). Locke comes up and says "Hello ben!" Ben just goes "Hello John, I noticed you came back."

It's funny.... Locke was WRONG because he himself was being manipulated... but also right at the same time. They were brought there for a purpose, for a reason!

Jack needed LOCKE to show him his purpose! Locke was never meant to be the hero... it was always Jack!

One of the best subjects in LOST was this situation about the man of science and the man of faith... I think every scene with Locke and Jack (and some scenes with Ben playing with Locke's mind in season 2) are the finest moments in tv history

It's funny because in Season 6, this scene is basically reversed. Jack is the man of faith while MIB is the man of reason, or perhaps MIB knows Jack is actually right and is just trying to manipulate him much like how Ben did in Season 2 with John. Trying to make John lose faith.

Not quite. Jacob's Nemesis just took the form of Locke. His body was still in the coffin, and then container, until thrown at Richard's feet.

We know Jacob can bring people back to life. And I feel like it would be illogical to assume Jacob is dead for good. So chances are, Locke is coming back.

It's a beautiful scene. It's a metafora about the man of faith vs. the man of science (season 2x03 orietation happend something very similar: Locke "Why do you find it so hard to believe?" Jack "Why do you find it so easy?" Locke "It's never been easy!")

"It's not an island. It's a place where miracles happen."

it's one of the epic phrases of Lost, like

"We're the good guys Michael", "Live together, die alone" or "We have to go back"

I heard spoiler by Carlton Cuse, that in season 5 Jack will become more man of faith, I find, that he really need it, and Locke will become more man of science, I don´t really know, why, maybe Locke would check out opposite side of things.:)
