me hace suspirar esta musica!!!! awww no puedo vivir sin ella!! es como una serie de emociones y sentimientos!!! :D la amo!!A MO LA MUSICA CLASICA!!!!!!!!
Wow... it looks as if the violin is not a separate part or another instrument... but like an extension of his body....it's scary and beautiful at the same time...
i just had a rehersal with him today morning. I am currently in All City Orchestra in NY. and we are playing Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola. His sound like undescriable in words. and he is very nice, great, musician .
@twopeeaeem Do you think that age 16 would be an unreasonable age to learn to play the violin, though it is for completely selfish reasons? I love music to my core but I was always too intimidated to approach an instrument or ask for private lessons. Lately I've become more and more drawn to the violin (and cello too), I am in love with their sound. Is this reasonable? I'm only asking because you've said you're in an orchestra and I thought you could provide a sound answer. Thank you.
@IchHabeFernweh14 Not at all! I started the cello at age 15 and it wasn't too hard to pick up. You just need a good ear, lots of patience, and a teacher when you start out. :D It can be a little frustrating at the beginning because it's soo awkward, but age will never be a factor if you've got the passion for it :D
I don't really understand cuz I don't play the piano till that high a level but do high-level pianists have people just to turn their sheet music? Like here?
WOW!!!!!!!!!very very amazing......what a combination..,n_n,..... he has a very strong arm (the violist)..and a very dramatic great music...their very awesome, both of them........
I don't play violin at all by any means, but I do syudy classical music at length and as a musician, this was such an incredible interpretation. There was a balance between the piano accompaniment and the solo ciolin parts that I've never heard before with this piece. I found myself noticing little things that I never knew existed in this piece. So Bravo for such an impeccable and musical performance Mr. Ryu Goto! :)
This has to be my favorite Ravel piece.....the way the violin seems to cry out and how the piano speaks with it is simply enchanting.....It makes me happy that I took up such a beautiful instrument
I'm not familiar with the score of this piece...however, if you listen to how the two instruments communicate with each other...that's what really makes this performance stand out. The accompaniment isn't detracting from the violin, but rather complimenting the melody (the amazingly light touch the pianist has). They make an impressive team.
This is the most horrible Tzigane I have ever heard! It needs (please guys!) to stop having shit in our hears and say anything just because some violinist starts young their career. Forget a minute their name and what they have done before, just close your eyes and listen objectively! Even a non musician can make the difference with what is good and what is not. So please(!!) make an effort!!!
@musiqueducoeur I happen to agree... I listened to Perlman play this, and then I found this video... I'm astonished that his had 3k views and this has 126k.
@musiqueducoeur make an effort to discover that a performance is actually terrible? tsk tsk tsk... a performance is great because it instantly captures the heart... we do not need to scrutinize things by so many standards, if it sounds nice, then why go through all the trouble of convincing yourself its bad? music is subjective, if you do not like it, shut your mouth
@TempoFurioso said: "we do not need to scrutinize things by so many standards, if it sounds nice". But it doesn't! "music is subjective, if you do not like it, shut your mouth"
The same actually if you like it!!
I invite you to listen to violoniste16. Since music is subjective, there is nothing wrong from you to consider also this performance...
@bishounenisland I think you can find better, even Physically! Look already in your country, Pinoy looks more poggy! Good luck to you and Ingat "ka"! (=I suppose your are young)
Honestly, this is the most entertaining and inspiring Tzigane I've seen yet. I love how he makes it his own and not just another perfect performance that must be true to how the composer composed it and some such because that isn't everything. Thank you for this Mr. Goto.
i've actually played with him before 3 yrs ago. I was in the Greater Houston Youth orchestra. and he was playing the Brahms Violin Concerto in D major. He sound is even more amazing in person. and yea that is a strad. its loaned to him. i was able to talk to him during a rehearsal. overall a nice guy and a great musician.
