I would like to comment on this video, but when I heard you say, "Low class prostitutes..", it reminded me that Obamagirl has just made another video. Have to go watch - cheers!
It all started with Bill "the snortin" Clinton policy of trying to put everyone under the government umbrella. The head honcho for bailout is Sen. Dodd the biggest financial crook in the Congress with pockets so full he could not unzip his pants in time to go to the bathroom.
WOW for awhile I've felt that the show hasnt' been too funny.... not enough vote Jackie Broyles for next president advertisements.. Anyways.. I Thought this one was great!
If the bailout goes thru: take all of your money out of the bank in protest. I already did on Friday. Somethings already going we don't know about on because they were acting kinda nervous and suspicious. Remember: The Federal Reserve has admitted they can't cover everybody in a "panic".
Yeah this "plan" is a joke but the worst is that Bush came on the other night and lied to us all. They are going to spend the billions to buy up these banks bad assets, well these are primarily in the form of houses, carsm boats, etc. Bush said we the taxpayers are going to get most of that money back. How? Banks themselves have been foreclosing and selling just that kind of property at a loss for decades. Besides who's going to buy it? Nobody can get loans to buy property anyway. Its all lies.
A $700 billion dollar package to aid the American people would come to almost $2300 for every man woman and child in the country. Meaning a family of five would receive $11,500. It could make a large, positive impact on millions and millions of American lives.
Why $700 billion for this? What is this government and this society for?
Yeah, 'no bailout' I agree, when do 'we the people' get to vote on that?, Wow, my ballot must have gotten lost in the mail bcause I don't recall approving this!!???!!!
If it would help the banks, instead of giving me my money, I'd accept the equivalent of my accounts in Kenny Roger's Roasters coupons. That'll get me thru the hard times!
Democrats are also responsible for the mess, because they allowed the de-regulation the hardcore market fetishists were pushing. Problem was de-regulation. McCain supported it. At least Obama wants to fix it ... and not just by hauling off and firing a political oponent at the SEC. OF COURSE no one person has all the answers. But undoing one of the dumbest things of the last 8 years, the Bush tax cuts, would be a good start.
You are aware the proposed tax adjustment is simply rolling back the tax cuts implemented by G.W.. Also, I presume you too are aware that those whose income exceeds $250,000.00 annually will be the only ones whose taxes will revert to the pre G.W. tax cut era. This is NOT a tax increase.
I've got a better idea: why don't you stop driving on roads built with public money, reimburse your local municipality for your per capita share of the cost of law enforcement, send your kids to private schools and give back any federally backed student loan money you borrowed. Especially since you apparently make more than $250,000 a year and can afford it.
"Democrats" did not tell banks to lend anyone 3 times what they could afford to pay back.
1. Roads are built on gas tax.. if you use roads you're paying for them.
2. Law enforcement is covered by sales tax, income tax goes only to pay the interest on the national debt.
3. Private schools work out cheaper for the system than public schools. Around my area more than $10,000 per child is collected from property tax. $3500 more than local private schools with 99% college grad rates.
4. - merely a loan at bank rates.
5. 2002 and 2004 HUD legislation gave incentives for lending like this.
Yo Snowflake: Not only CAN we, but it is our patriotic duty and Constitutional right to overthrow corrupt government. We've just been reeallll slow on the draw. This government long ago--I mean 1913ish--stopped operating by the Constitution and its just been getting worse every year. Like the frog in the warming water, we either busta move or get served with a side of salad. END THE FED!
If memory serves John McCain asked Sen.Obama to participate in 10 town hall meetings/debates and Obama refused.I doubt John McCain is afraid to debate Sen.Obama. I think fear is not a word in McCain's vocabulary.
By the way Bill Clinton said this morning on the today show that Dems are responsible for the Fannie and Freddie mess..BILL CLINTON said it!!
blueguise23, Get your facts straight! If McCain is scared to debate Obama, why has Obama pussed out on 10 town hall meetings with McCain? Neither McCain or Obama know jack about the economy (you would understand if you read their economic plans). As far as corruption, Obama's campaign has had three former CEOs of Fannie (Gorelick, Johnson, and Raines) who are directly responsible for Fannie's failure today! People in glass houses, blueguise..
Woody6975. What exactly has Obama's campaign had with Raines? I know about Johnson, who resigned immediately after he was vetted and it was discovered that he got a preferential mortgage rate. But he has had nothing to do with Obama's campaign since way early in the process. Are you suggesting their "involvement" with Obama somehow negates Rick Davis' consulting contract with Fannie Mae while managing McCain's campaign? Which BTW continued until a month ago.
vidmakr, Initially, Raines was part of Obama's VP vetting committee, was he not? All I am suggesting is that there are two sides to every coin and people should look at both sides before they criticize and judge. Everyone is so willing to give the Democrats a pass but when a Republican is involved in anything questionable, they get raked over coals repeatedly!
Yes Woody6975, I believe you are correct. Raines was 1 of 3 initial members of the VP search vetting committee. Who resigned early on and never had a chance to impact the Dem V.P. choice. Unlike Rick Davis who is actually directing McCain's campaign. I wouldn't call it giving the DEM's a pass, but surely you have question the appropriateness of Davis' relationship with "the mav" who assails lobbyist.
TheSexyPatriot, According to news reports, Davis and his group did not profit from their dealings with Fannie or Freddie. According the Center for Responsive Politics, "the top 3 Freddie and Fannie contribution recipients in the Senate are Democrats and Obama is #2." The seeds for this mess were sown by the Clinton Administration and partisan nonsense permitted them to grow. DC complacency & Wall Street greed is to blame for this mess!
woody6975 You might want to go back and check your source on this one. Davis' group was collecting $15,000 a month consulting fees from F MAE and F MAC until just 1 month ago. (when the bailout was completed). Since Davis is the sole lobbyist in the firm, who did the lobbying? What did HE do to earn the 15K a month from F-MAE and F-MAC while serving as McCain's campaign manager?
You are correct. Prior to 2006 the fee was $30,000 a month for lobbying work. The question is: for what purpose did F-MAE and F-MAC pay Davis' lobbying firm $15,000 a month from 2006 and just recently.
Somehow this is taking on an eerily similarity to the Keating 5. Thanks for expanding this topic.
You are wrong, Davis has had nothing to do with the firm and has taken $0 since the year 2006. He has no interest any longer in the company. Nada, zilch, zero. The figure you are quoting cannot be found.
OKAY!! You trying to use the LA Times as a source is the same as if I used the American Thinker as my source. The LA Times is a Liberal rag and has no true journalistic credit anymore. ....BUT, I will read the article for arguments sake.
Read it, and Davis Manafort has not received any compensation since 2006. a fact the LA Times fails to mention. Where is the $30,000 you spoke of earlier?
I read it and replied. Quoting the LA Times will get you nowhere. They'll be bankrupt soon anyway! No true American wants a biased rag giving so called news. May as well read the Weekly World News. LOL
vidmakr, I'll give you that one. But I think Davis' paltry $15,000 is nothing compared to three Clinton surrogates (Gorelick, Johnson, and Raines) who, as CEOs of Fannie, pocketed millions of dollars for themselves while running the company into the ground! The real blame for this mess if found on both sides of the aisle but, the Dems did much more to facilitate this collapse.
What is the pt? Are we laying blame for the Fannie Mae mess or what? McCain has been a leader for deregulation going back 20+ yrs. Deregulation is the blame. My issue with McCain claiming an aversion for lobbyist is it does not pass the smell test. Davis is the proof. "Paltry"? You can't be a little bit pregnant. If you REALLY want to get to the bottom of this-I encourage you to do so-Look up the Carlyle Group. They stand at the ready to buy the devalued securities that we are going to pay for.
OK, I know the violence begets violence gizmo, but if it could be made to look like an accident.... or better yet, lets tell them there's a lavish party being held in thier honor (in IRAQ or Afganistan...with 'you know who)...no, have the party in Beruit or Syria! YES...that it. And make sure they all have US FLAG Label pins....just don't tell them UNTIL they get off the plane.
"Liberal radio show host Mike Malloy called it perfectly I think: corporate socialism."
ROFLMAO.
This is pure Leftist Garbage. Democrats screw things up, Republicans try to rein them in, Democrats scream how mean we are to keep all those dark skinned people out of homes they have a right to, Republicans run for cover, it all falls apart and suddenly Democrats want to "fix the problem".
Anyone stupid enough to think *more* government is going to fix this deserves what's about to happen.
Ben Stein says $45 Trillion out there (in fake losses).
Mortgages are NOT the problem. Mortgages were like feed stock for the furnace of building debt pyramids out of Credit-Default Swaps and Securitized Debt Instruments.
Maybe we oughtta give this Paulson guy a chance? He has a mighty big knot to untie before he can redirect the cash flow. And hey, if we can collect raparations for the war on terror that Bush, McCain, Palin, Trump and all those other oil slicked souls... we may just be alright.
I'm pretty hardcore democrat, and if I had seem this anywhere else under any other name, I'd think it was anti-republican satire. Big government isn't going to help us this time. All the band-aids over the years from BOTH PARTIES are just bleeding too much. Hopefully, we'll get through ok, and I don't care who fixes it as long as it gets done!
With folks like Chris Dodd and Chuck Shumer on your side of the isle you want to talk about McCain and lobbyist.
There's not a politician in Washington that's not courted by lobbyist. It's a bad system but it's what we have.
How much money did Sen. Obama receive from Fannie Mae this year! The year Fannie and Freddie failed. How much money has Chris Dodd received over the years and he's the Chairman of the Committee that oversaw Fannie and Freddie.
Capitalism isn't a form of government, it's a form of economics. It sometimes becomes synonymous with a governmental style, but theoretically you could have capitalism under a dictator or what have you.
Corporations = Government agencies and government protectionism.
Cronyism and cheating the weak, like 299 million Americans, that's capitalism.
Bribery is capitalism -- it's commoditization of policy.
Capitalism rocks for all who can afford their own politicians. If you can't afford a politician, agency, or lobby firm, you're a commie and you deserve to lose. Pay up. /sarc
What a moran! Bush admin helped Al-Q more than anyone. Baker shut down a citizens inquiry on Saudis. Chertoff bailed out Magdy Elamir. 300 attempts by FBI agents to stop al-Q. CIA Dir said "Let Osama Stay Free", Bush said he agreed on OBL. Ali Mohamed. General Mahmoud Ahmad. Bush offered nukes to the Saudis & $30B weapons. Ledeen calling for a LUCKY bloodbath.
The problem is $45 TRILLION in CREDIT DEFAULT SWAPS, Fannie and Freddie was just one part.
What's worse is that the money is printed by the Fed Reserve Bank - Which is a private bank allowed to print American money out of thin air - AND THEY CHARGE THE USA INTEREST
The FED Reserve Bank is privately owned; it is not part of the US Government!
Been there, but the scandinavian countries would be a better example of socialism, cuba is communism; there IS a difference. I'll skip the name calling
Yep. What's going on here has nothing to do with socialism or communism. Liberal radio show host Mike Malloy called it perfectly I think: corporate socialism. Plain old socialism is supposed to (key phrase) help the people and this does neither.
LittlePinky82: Mike Malloy called it perfectly: corporate socialism.
--
hey! I'll see you and raise you one.
Michael Hudson (who teaches economic systems) explained how Industrial Capitalism (which created stuff) morphed to Finance Capitalism (which creates nothing, virtual economy). Now it's Finance Communism. Or Finance Stalinism. Hard to find the most fitting label. Trickle UP Economics? Corporate socialism is routine wealthy-fare.
That whole "why don't you go to Cuba" thing is so tired. Just admit that you don't really know anything about socialism or communism or world history and be on your way.
Dude, all this shit is the fault of the GOP. Deregulation has been the GOP mantra for 30 years. Now the GOP is trying to blame it on someone else? Get a grip!
But socialism does suck, no two ways about that. Capitalism kicks ass, but it needs referees.
socialism is an economic policy of collective ownership not government idiot. they're called dictionaries & are relatively cheap. buy 1, keep 1 & for heaven's sake: USE 1!
Bush might have started it but Obama has spent more in one year than Bush spent in eight years.

If the bailout goes thru: take all of your money out of the bank in protest. I already did on Friday. Somethings already going we don't know about on because they were acting kinda nervous and suspicious. Remember: The Federal Reserve has admitted they can't cover everybody in a "panic".
Let's start one!

Democrats are also responsible for the mess, because they allowed the de-regulation the hardcore market fetishists were pushing. Problem was de-regulation. McCain supported it. At least Obama wants to fix it ... and not just by hauling off and firing a political oponent at the SEC. OF COURSE no one person has all the answers. But undoing one of the dumbest things of the last 8 years, the Bush tax cuts, would be a good start.
skwrrl70 3 years ago
Will you pay my new higher taxes for me? Democrat vote buying from the poor caused this, not tax cuts!
JMBSM61 3 years ago
You are aware the proposed tax adjustment is simply rolling back the tax cuts implemented by G.W.. Also, I presume you too are aware that those whose income exceeds $250,000.00 annually will be the only ones whose taxes will revert to the pre G.W. tax cut era. This is NOT a tax increase.
vidmakr 3 years ago
I've got a better idea: why don't you stop driving on roads built with public money, reimburse your local municipality for your per capita share of the cost of law enforcement, send your kids to private schools and give back any federally backed student loan money you borrowed. Especially since you apparently make more than $250,000 a year and can afford it.
"Democrats" did not tell banks to lend anyone 3 times what they could afford to pay back.
skwrrl70 3 years ago

***JOHN MCCAIN SCARED TO DEBATE OBAMA***
**McCain stops Debate***
1) Uses Economic crisis as a reason to BAIL OUT of Friday's Debate.
2) John McCain professed he knows NOTHING about the Economy, and couldn't care less about the economy. All he cares about is WAR.
3) Despite getting the questions to the debate, Mccain is still AFRAID to debate Obama.
4) John McCain's campaign is "awash" with corrupt people/advisors who directly contributed to THE FALL OF THE US ECONOMY.
blueguise23 3 years ago
If memory serves John McCain asked Sen.Obama to participate in 10 town hall meetings/debates and Obama refused.I doubt John McCain is afraid to debate Sen.Obama. I think fear is not a word in McCain's vocabulary.
By the way Bill Clinton said this morning on the today show that Dems are responsible for the Fannie and Freddie mess..BILL CLINTON said it!!
JMBSM61 3 years ago
blueguise23, Get your facts straight! People in glass houses, blueguise..
woody6975 3 years ago
Which BTW continued until a month ago.
vidmakr 3 years ago
vidmakr, Initially, Raines was part of Obama's VP vetting committee, was he not? All I am suggesting is that there are two sides to every coin and people should look at both sides before they criticize and judge. Everyone is so willing to give the Democrats a pass but when a Republican is involved in anything questionable, they get raked over coals repeatedly!
woody6975 3 years ago
Yes Woody6975, I believe you are correct. Raines was 1 of 3 initial members of the VP search vetting committee. Who resigned early on and never had a chance to impact the Dem V.P. choice. Unlike Rick Davis who is actually directing McCain's campaign. I wouldn't call it giving the DEM's a pass, but surely you have question the appropriateness of Davis' relationship with "the mav" who assails lobbyist.
vidmakr 3 years ago
vidmakr, That's an excellent point.
woody6975 3 years ago

radstorm 3 years ago
TheSexyPatriot, According to news reports, Davis and his group did not profit from their dealings with Fannie or Freddie. According the Center for Responsive Politics, "the top 3 Freddie and Fannie contribution recipients in the Senate are Democrats and Obama is #2." The seeds for this mess were sown by the Clinton Administration and partisan nonsense permitted them to grow. DC complacency & Wall Street greed is to blame for this mess!
woody6975 3 years ago
woody6975 You might want to go back and check your source on this one. Davis' group was collecting $15,000 a month consulting fees from F MAE and F MAC until just 1 month ago. (when the bailout was completed). Since Davis is the sole lobbyist in the firm, who did the lobbying? What did HE do to earn the 15K a month from F-MAE and F-MAC while serving as McCain's campaign manager?
vidmakr 3 years ago
You fail to mention that all that ended in 2006!
JMBSM61 3 years ago
You are correct. Prior to 2006 the fee was $30,000 a month for lobbying work. The question is: for what purpose did F-MAE and F-MAC pay Davis' lobbying firm $15,000 a month from 2006 and just recently.
Somehow this is taking on an eerily similarity to the Keating 5. Thanks for expanding this topic.
vidmakr 3 years ago
You are wrong, Davis has had nothing to do with the firm and has taken $0 since the year 2006. He has no interest any longer in the company. Nada, zilch, zero. The figure you are quoting cannot be found.
JMBSM61 3 years ago

vidmakr 3 years ago
OKAY!! You trying to use the LA Times as a source is the same as if I used the American Thinker as my source. The LA Times is a Liberal rag and has no true journalistic credit anymore. ....BUT, I will read the article for arguments sake.
JMBSM61 3 years ago
Read it, and Davis Manafort has not received any compensation since 2006. a fact the LA Times fails to mention. Where is the $30,000 you spoke of earlier?
JMBSM61 3 years ago
I read it and replied. Quoting the LA Times will get you nowhere. They'll be bankrupt soon anyway! No true American wants a biased rag giving so called news. May as well read the Weekly World News. LOL
JMBSM61 3 years ago
vidmakr, I'll give you that one. But I think Davis' paltry $15,000 is nothing compared to three Clinton surrogates (Gorelick, Johnson, and Raines) who, as CEOs of Fannie, pocketed millions of dollars for themselves while running the company into the ground! The real blame for this mess if found on both sides of the aisle but, the Dems did much more to facilitate this collapse.
woody6975 3 years ago
What is the pt? Are we laying blame for the Fannie Mae mess or what? McCain has been a leader for deregulation going back 20+ yrs. Deregulation is the blame. My issue with McCain claiming an aversion for lobbyist is it does not pass the smell test. Davis is the proof. "Paltry"? You can't be a little bit pregnant. If you REALLY want to get to the bottom of this-I encourage you to do so-Look up the Carlyle Group. They stand at the ready to buy the devalued securities that we are going to pay for.

Bailouts ARE capitalism. Always has been.
Pay up. /sarc
