I think she's giving the wrong impression of the song. It's about a Utopian island where everything is right and how such a place doesn't exist. This is not a seduction song and I feel it's being misrepresented. Also you can see right up her dress when she sits on the piano. Little tacky.
Modern Parisian French accent can't give a full performance like this. This accent sounds like how Germen spoke French in the 30's, also with Russian-y accent upgrades to its very dramatic feel. I love this version.

I found this singer via the clip of Butterfly. She's fabulous there - really powerful & dramatic. Not sure about this. I'd say cabaret isn't her thing. It lacks subtlety. She should stick to the big stuff!
