@imagreatbigman The 463 has been out of service for several years but is currently undergoing a thorough restoration and will be back in service sometime in trhe near future. You can stay current on the 463 by visiting the Narrow Gauge Railroad Discussion Forum.
I like the way you kept pace with it! Were you, by any chance, doing the driving too? If you were, no big deal, I've driven while videoing trains myself! Got real good at it over the past couple decades!
@bullfrog1954 Yes, this was the first time I have tried that. My wife usually does the driving, usually chasing the 844 or 3985. Guess this wasn't fast enough for her. I have a gadget called a clamppod which I bought back in 1969, don't know if you can still get them. Its like a c-clamp with an adjustable tripod base on one end. I just put the camera on it and clamp it to my window. It also had an auger attachment, but I have lost that. Must have left it in a tie somewhere.
@gothpapa I sure could use one of those devices myself! Maybe I'll check local photo stores & see what I come up with. Sometimes that's the only way to catch spur-of-the-moment sequences!
@bullfrog1954 I posted a picture of it at Narrow Gauge Railroad Discussion Forum. Look for the thread " Latest upload at Channel Gothpapa" posted June 26, 2011. Would post the link here but haven't figured out how to do that :-(. Also got the following response there: GoPro makes some special clips for attaching to vehicles, many of which utilize the standard tripod mounts, although some are made specifically for the GoPro sports camera.
is the #463 not running in Chama anymore???

Pretty good shooting. A first I thought you were using a bicycle because of how quiet it was.
