The PM of Australia travels in a motorcade about that size but only really blocks roads when she is in a hurry. I imagine that's the same for Canadas PM also.

@awestruckemu87 I know! So stoked when I caught this! I saw one of the new BMW bikes a few days after and I could barely pick it out... Two blue lights on it, on on the front, and one on a small tower on the back. Kind of like the British police bikes

That's interesting. Here in the UK our prime minister doesn't travel with such a large motorcade and these days often doesn't have motorcycle outriders either.

@cj2930 CPS used their motorcycles since the weather permitted, otherwise they would've used unmarked trucks/ suv's and regular Crown Vic's.

@cj2930 That's not always done for the PM. He probably had a tight schedule, so they cleared traffic.
