I don't think people give Arona enough credit for his understanding of mma and jiu jitsu. He said that Overeem had to get bigger to deal with stronger opponents and look at Overeem now, crushing skulls in strikeforce. He also helped Werdum out for Fedor and I believe he was the one who said that Fedor's weakness is jiu jitsu. He's definitely a smart guy.
@migraine516 Training outdoors in that climate would be awesome! Beautiful jungles and mountains! Someday I will move to Brazil. Seems like a great country.
é Arona, ta na hora de parar com essa "marrinha" de querer fazer tudo em "casa" pq não dá não malandro! Todo mundo ta virando máquina de sair na porrada com vários treinos sinistros. Sou seu fã, vamo lá !!
I live near Arona's House. It's a good style life. On week we work like all country. On weekend go to the beach, he lives in this beach: /watch?v=serZLOBpt4k
Rio de janeiro's life. Not brazil's life. It's too big country. So diferent way's of life.
Well OFFICIALLY Arona has said he'll start fighting again only and ONLY when he's done building his new gym in Brazil. And he estimated that would be near end of 2009.
Although Wanderlei Silva has openly invited both Ricardo and Paulo Filho to train at his gym. Ricardo says he wants to train at his own gym but Paulo is taking Wanderlei up on his offer.
However even though I like Arona and all you have to admit. Even though it would benefeit him greatly, he's too cocky to go train with his longtime rival in Wand even though Wand is willing to bury the hatchet lol.
Im a big Shogun fan but I also want to see a rematch with him and Arona. Ricardo had to work so much harder to beat Wanderlei than Shogun had to beat Alistair Overeem. Arona looked exhausted 1 min into that fight, clearly the tournament took its toll. I want to see them in a straight up fight.

this playse is very spectual to me..lol..dude,dont compare this fruit to fedor..fedor is on a another level mate..arona lost to fedor..so liv wit it..hahahhaha..fedor fucked every brazilian fighter..i bet he can even beat jesus statue in brazil..
You better watch your mouth kid. Against arona, he won by points, almost didn't won. Fedor may be good, but anybody, and I mean ANYBODY has what it got to easyly beat a Brazilian fighter. No country has as much good champions as we got. We're the finest.
I'm English...and I'll agree with that. I love BJJ and respect the amount of dedication these fighters put into their trade. Brazil from what I know of it is a fast country, sometimes violent, but always exciting. In a way it's almost expected of Brazilian fighters to be top notch. Happy training.
Yes, but Fedor doesn't ussually look invincible. In alot of matches he looks like he is going to lose before he wins, for example, Arlovski, or Fujita. I don't think Fedor is a god. Also alot of people think Arona should have won that rings match.
Arlovski wasn't landing anything except that push kick (and you know how that turned out)... I thought he was at first too until I saw the slow motion GIF's on Sherdog. Fujita had one good punch and then got dominated. Arona did have a close match with Fedor but there was no strikes to the head of a grounded opponent, in Pride/unified rules Fedor would destroy Arona bro.
@Kranio i agree with u!!! but u must admit that russian people, must do much work because there is very cold, winter you must chop trees, alot of shit to do man!! we have not much time to train, u live in the very beautifull , worm country it is like heaven, you too have a lot of work, but U live in a country where God said, It is a best Place for the champions!!! so U must be best!!! :))) respect from Russia!!!
@tatapuh2 just try to train in a freazing cold winter, i'm training every winter fuck it s cold but u must, run when it's snowing, because of that we too have a great champions!!! russians always respected brazilian fighters, ask anyone, everyone tells hardest opponents is brazilians!!!
@fmoa ha ha I see your comment is way old considering Fedor has now lost to two brazilian fighters. I was always a big fan of Fedor but hate obsessive fans of his like you who have man crushes on him.
I agree with you on both point. I think he got robbed and I do think he's got a chance on winning agaist fedor. I won't say for sure that que would beat fedor, as we all know Fedor is not a dead body, he knows a lot. But We all saw that when Mark Hunt took him down he almost submitted him Fedor. I think it would be an amazing fight and I do thing Arona has a chance of winning...

In old Pride rules or unified rules Fedor would smoke Arona.
