  • i have also same place in my hometown wich i use to go to montain and train )

  • I don't think people give Arona enough credit for his understanding of mma and jiu jitsu. He said that Overeem had to get bigger to deal with stronger opponents and look at Overeem now, crushing skulls in strikeforce. He also helped Werdum out for Fedor and I believe he was the one who said that Fedor's weakness is jiu jitsu. He's definitely a smart guy.

  • Live next to a mountain, train Jiu Jitsu all day. I envy you.

  • @migraine516 ahh see that is the easy part.

Being Ricardo Arona is not so easy.

  • @portuviejo True. Well, you know what they say, the grass is always greener .......

  • @portuviejo Yes thats for sure.

  • @portuviejo :)

  • @migraine516 Training outdoors in that climate would be awesome! Beautiful jungles and mountains! Someday I will move to Brazil. Seems like a great country.

    - From up in Northeast Ohio ;-) .

  • O bom e velho aluno do saudoso mestre lélio de Araruama, esse é de fato um dos motivos para orgulho de nossa região. Deus te abençoe guerreraço.

  • Damn, I wanted to see Ricardo hang 10 on a tube and carve it up :P

  • é Arona, ta na hora de parar com essa "marrinha" de querer fazer tudo em "casa" pq não dá não malandro! Todo mundo ta virando máquina de sair na porrada com vários treinos sinistros. Sou seu fã, vamo lá !!

  • Arona fera!

  • se vendendo pra gringo! afff

  • its funny listening to him talking about overeem will struggle with strong guys, and then you look at ubereem now!

  • @daz45 No one could have guessed that Alistair would start juicing like a mofo...

  • @unregisturd But wait the commission tested him, like they checked marquadt for grease, the commission can't be wrong......

  • @daz45 I was really hoping Rousimar would have controlled that fight

  • @portuviejo Hey but nowadays you have to prepare for steroid using stalling greasers, who will cheapshot you in a instant.

  • @daz45 Of course not! :P

  • I live near Arona's House. It's a good style life. On week we work like all country. On weekend go to the beach, he lives in this beach: /watch?v=serZLOBpt4k

Rio de janeiro's life. Not brazil's life. It's too big country. So diferent way's of life.

  • @eusouozina so nice place. i'm here in the philippines and I so wanna visit Brazil! See some fine nature and fine girls! hehehe

  • @MC211982 Well! Thats a good idea ;) I think Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, Ubatuba and florianopolis are the best places.

  • Good

  • Ricardo is Gorgeous!! Oh Brazil... :)~ I have to go there some time!!! soon.

  • @FarfalinaLOVE maybe he likes groupies

  • @FarfalinaLOVE You will get trouble for sextourism ;) just joking..................

  • How's life in Brazil?

  • @kullander15 life in Brazil is how you create it.

  • what song was that in the beginning

  • Rio Jeneiro is nice lots of Beautiful women. but i heard the crime rate is very high

  • yeah but you dont get a scratch if you are brave!

  • wow , rio de janeiro is beatful no ?

  • yeah tell me about it. I wish i lived there

  • haha i mean like

  • i would love to see arona fight again with fedor

    love how the 2 fight

  • A lot of people think that Arona beat Fedor the first time around. Myself included.

  • hey dude do u know when arona is fighting again/?? i heard he was going on 2009 but

    havent heard of anything =/

  • Well OFFICIALLY Arona has said he'll start fighting again only and ONLY when he's done building his new gym in Brazil. And he estimated that would be near end of 2009.

Although Wanderlei Silva has openly invited both Ricardo and Paulo Filho to train at his gym. Ricardo says he wants to train at his own gym but Paulo is taking Wanderlei up on his offer.

  • it would be cool if he trained in both gyms

in that way he will learn diferent kind of punching, ground skills etc...

  • Absolutely.

However even though I like Arona and all you have to admit. Even though it would benefeit him greatly, he's too cocky to go train with his longtime rival in Wand even though Wand is willing to bury the hatchet lol.

  • haha

hey dude does arona have contract with the

UFC???? i will really like to see a rematch there

    with shogun :)

  • dude it seems u liked arona and i think u already saw the arona vs wanderlei fight

but ive beeing trying to find that fight but cant

find shit!! can u help me????????????????

  • Which one the first fight or the second fight?

  • the first

  • September 12, at Bitetti Combat in Rio de Janeiro against Marvin Eastman.

And he has signed with Strikeforce.

  • I'm a big fan of Arona though.

  • close, but Gnp is forbidden in RINGS..it takes a away part of Fedor's game.

btw, i want a rewatch with Arona and Shogun, Shogun beat him so easily...quite disappointed

  • Im a big Shogun fan but I also want to see a rematch with him and Arona. Ricardo had to work so much harder to beat Wanderlei than Shogun had to beat Alistair Overeem. Arona looked exhausted 1 min into that fight, clearly the tournament took its toll. I want to see them in a straight up fight.

  • arona is a great fighter, he has good take down. i hoep to see him back in the ring or cage.

  • Great doc, any idea when this was filmed?

  • fedor barely won against arona

  • the rules were very different though. not the same mma rules as today. striking was limited.

  • You better watch your mouth kid. Against arona, he won by points, almost didn't won. Fedor may be good, but anybody, and I mean ANYBODY has what it got to easyly beat a Brazilian fighter. No country has as much good champions as we got. We're the finest.

  • esta verdad

  • I'm English...and I'll agree with that. I love BJJ and respect the amount of dedication these fighters put into their trade. Brazil from what I know of it is a fast country, sometimes violent, but always exciting. In a way it's almost expected of Brazilian fighters to be top notch. Happy training.

  • Arona was saved by Rings rules against Fedor.

In old Pride rules or unified rules Fedor would smoke Arona.

  • Yeah, sure... Fedor is god ain't him? he would smoke everyone.. hahaha

  • Tell me who has beaten Fedor then besides the fluke against Kohsaka?

Cmon smart ass... thats right shut the fuck up.

  • Yes, but Fedor doesn't ussually look invincible. In alot of matches he looks like he is going to lose before he wins, for example, Arlovski, or Fujita. I don't think Fedor is a god. Also alot of people think Arona should have won that rings match.

  • Arlovski wasn't landing anything except that push kick (and you know how that turned out)... I thought he was at first too until I saw the slow motion GIF's on Sherdog. Fujita had one good punch and then got dominated. Arona did have a close match with Fedor but there was no strikes to the head of a grounded opponent, in Pride/unified rules Fedor would destroy Arona bro.

  • @Kranio i agree with u!!! but u must admit that russian people, must do much work because there is very cold, winter you must chop trees, alot of shit to do man!! we have not much time to train, u live in the very beautifull , worm country it is like heaven, you too have a lot of work, but U live in a country where God said, It is a best Place for the champions!!! so U must be best!!! :))) respect from Russia!!!

  • @tatapuh2 just try to train in a freazing cold winter, i'm training every winter fuck it s cold but u must, run when it's snowing, because of that we too have a great champions!!! russians always respected brazilian fighters, ask anyone, everyone tells hardest opponents is brazilians!!!

  • @fmoa Fedor just lost to a Brazilian.........

  • @fmoa ur funny i bet Werdum has something to say about that

  • @fmoa ha ha I see your comment is way old considering Fedor has now lost to two brazilian fighters. I was always a big fan of Fedor but hate obsessive fans of his like you who have man crushes on him.

  • DONDE ESTAS,RICARDO??!!

  • arona should be living in a mansion

  • Just waiting for you to sign with a good promotion and fight as soon as possible.

MMA needs guys like Arona... he is the only man who ever beat Fedor Emelianenko(unfortunately he got robbed that time). Agreed?

  • I agree with you on both point. I think he got robbed and I do think he's got a chance on winning agaist fedor. I won't say for sure that que would beat fedor, as we all know Fedor is not a dead body, he knows a lot. But We all saw that when Mark Hunt took him down he almost submitted him Fedor. I think it would be an amazing fight and I do thing Arona has a chance of winning...

  • Great documentary !!!

  • Ricardo, YOU ARE what America needs.

You are very MARKETABLE and you can FIGHT!

You need to fight here in America!

Americans WILL LOVE YOU HERE MAN!!!!

  • rumours say he's going to sign with affliction and he states he wants to fight for UFC eventually

  • Essa é a casa do kara ? é uma academia na sala dele... haha foda
