I disagree. You don't need lessons to be able to bowl just get out and do it! I've bowled for 3 years and I just turned 17 and I have a 200 average. I've already been to the state travel league tourney in Missouri and the national family tournament. So don't think your dream can't come true cause it can!!!
Bowling is a great sport! In my opinion you don't need to pay for lessons but be dedicated. I've been bowling for 3 years and I have a 200 average and I just turned 17. Bowling has gave me many opportunities like the national family tournament and state travel league tournament. Don't ever think your dream can't come true cause I promise you it can!!!
If these kids just keep doing what their doing.. theyll go a long way.. their all great bowlers. and i agree with bowler babe! these kids did a lot of work to compete in this tournament! and if your not on these lanes trying to bowl on the unique oil patterns you have no room to talk! i have a 180 average and these kids make me look like an amateur! your not out there bowling and paying for proper lessons then dont criticize.
All I have to say about how the juniors bowl is this. Everyone to include them bowls there own style. Just look at the diversity in the PBA. Granted yes they are pros and have been doing it for countless years. But diverse none the less. In my opinion and I am sure a lot of those pros would agree, if you are consistent with your conversions and spares along with strikes and you understand the fundamentals you should be fine know matter how you bowl.
Juniors have always been fascinated about throwing a big high speed crank with high backswing, but that does not always work. Unfortunately now, they all want to throw two-handed jobs because they see the successes of Belmonte and Palermaa. Those two have conditioned for that but I am afraid that two handed releases will eventually hurt back muscles as they get older because we don't have conditioning which is important. The kid at 4:43 will go far...perfect stroke for hard conditions.
@TheMusicjuice Not interesting, one of the worst two handed styles... No control at all. These kids need to practice more... a lot more. you can tell those who practice a lot at being smooth and controlled from those who just throw it some random board and hope it strikes... guess thats west coast bowling for ya
@MasterBayt Man thats not even the case. I bowl about a 194 average and I rarely practice. I dont have a job and my parents cant afford for me to practice alot. Some kids have the same situation as me, and u can't hate on that. Its just the way things are.
Yes, I realize that some of us have bad releases, but that wouldn't happen if people like you would stop complaining and do something about that. One way to fix that would be to get certified as a USBC coach and charge reasonable prices.... I don't see how that can be so hard for someone like you who has the room to criticize other people who are trying to learn a sport.
wow, so many horrible releases: harley sweigart, drew stern, eric demo......prolly more...someone has to teach the junior bowlers now adays how to bowl -.-
What kind of pattern do these kids bowl on? Is it just a typical house shot?
