My band was fortunate enough to open a show in Boise Idaho when he and we played about 1/2 apart. He's a great guy. No inflated ego or anything. Fun to hang with back stage. He's just like you'd want him to be.

Darius Rucker is an incredible vocalist, but I personally can't get into him doing country as much, because the Hootie and the Blowfish album Cracked Rear View holds a place in my heart. A lot of good a few not so good memories associate themselves with that album. Like I said, he's incredible, does country well, but for me, Darius Rucker will always be the frontman of Hootie. That's my opinion, take it for what it's worth. I am entitled to my opinion. :-)
Many songs can be used for many purposes in the idea that a song might mean something different to each person that hears it. Usually, they are abstract, but this song is pretty clear and to the point, but I dont have kids.
It reminds me of life's struggles. Times when it seems like "F" what do I do now. Times that seem hard that when you look back it was a time you really enjoyed and would like to go back too. Because, it wasnt nearly as tough or as bad as it really seemed at the time!
The switch from the pop genre to country was the best decision Darius could have made. He is an amazing vocalist and he deserves to play his music for the best fans in the world. We country fans love our greats, and Darius is quickly becoming one of them.

I would LOVE 2 clarify that I am a songwriter and I've been writing since I was 5 years of age. It is not that I can not sing..... I CAN SING, AS WELL. I would LOVE 2 clarify that I am a songwriter and I've been writing since I was 5 years of age. It is not that I can not sing..... I CAN SING, AS WELL. However, I'd love to Jam with Mr. Darius and his Band. I actually live in his area and might actually run into him and have the opportunity. I've been exposed to big stars my whole life, and I know God works in mysterious ways. IT COULD HAPPEN. He and I could Jam, all night long. Write a song together, a Book, a Poem, a Screenplay... or anything.

It may seem that way but she has very fresh and mature for her age lyrics and Darius has vocals that are very hard to compete with true but if u liked 'big yellow taxi' by the Counting Crows feat Vanessa Carlton..then u might see what i mean although that song could have used a little more V.Carlton(in my opinion)...Darius is awesome no doubt dude,no disrespect but i think it would come out nice.

Darius and the guitarist should never part they sound good together. I am very impressed with Darius even when he was hootie and the blowfish...good job...All artist should be able to sing live like this but we know that is not true.
