  • I have played this wonderful enigmatic dance song easily a thousand times since it came out....what a tribute to their combined genius.

  • If Yoko has any good songs, this one is it.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS YOU GO YOKO BABY RIP JOHN

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS YOU GO YOKO BABY

  • I love japanese girls but I don't like Yoko Ono much... I don't know why. I love the Beatles but I don't really liekd John (I had George as the favored one), but I like this song very much since I've heard first time. Thanks for it!

  • @tiborvivi I agree. I love Japanese girls too, well most of them, and a lot look pretty and feminine, but as for Yoko Ono, no. Lol.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU OLD HAG <3 I MISS JOHN

  • superb song

  • it has been a revelation for me, discovering there are other avid fans of this song! you know, as thrilling as it would have been to bump into the 2 of them in NYC, back in the day, i think it would have been yoko's autograph i would have asked for...i think john would have liked that! so much so in fact, they would probably have invited me up for coffee and john would have baked bread while yoko and i sang imagine...hmmmm...

  • yoko was a respected member of an innovative avant garde community of artists before she met john. she was made into a joke by the beatles' fans, and then blamed for their breakup, which she had nothing whatsoever to do with. so, if the "girl" is yoko, and the lake that's "as big as the ocean" is a metaphor for the whole beatle experience, the fact that it is "covered with ice" is almost as interesting as the fact that she pauses to vomit mid song. i wonder if john knew what she was saying...

  • @ricw1217 why can't people accept the fact that the people who broke up the beatles were the beatles themselves? they just can't handle the truth. and this song fucking rocks.

  • Did he say that on the day he died when they had finished mixing the song?

  • @GeorgeLupine3 I think so,

    Wouldn't know..

  • @GeorgeLupine3 I think so, but i wouldn't know..

  • We smoked yours hours ago.

  • this was my joint!!!!!!!

  • It's a shame this wasn't her first number one when it was released. However, it's nice knowing it's reached number one in the dance charts.

    Classic track, I love it.

  • Love Yoko! Great Job! Peace!
