I was disappointed, and I think that's the general feel from fans of the original, but I can't speak for all. I'm holding my breath for the new movie. The idea's interesting, but we'll have to wait and see.

I know it sounds kind of lame, but now that they've upped the effects and the popularity of the franchise can garner a good budget, I want to see a film with style AND substance.

the book by Pierre Boulle was really good! It helps me understand the ending of the movie much better. But I still think the book was really great.

ok in the old comic its a guy how lands on a planet (planet of the apes) unknown its THE EARTH and its back in time, he saves the people but change hes future!

He goes to his own time and sees abrham lincon as a monkey...

-planet of the apes revolution aginst humans, and after they defeted the humans they hide all human weapons in a cave (The laser pistol the evil monkey uses)

But

As the movie tells people are animals and monkeys rules us, it should have bin a revolutions (by the humans)
