@ajpatino1 You probably twisted the little strands clockwise and then twisted them together the same way. Instead of twisting the little strands clockwise and then twisting them together counterclockwise.

Wax is a good idea. If i try this hair style i will most likely use the wax on my baby hairs and towards the end of the pony tail where the shorter hairs start to stick out.
