@MPCHustle OK...The firm was startin' to pop off when Mega came home in '95, right? Steve Stoute (who was managin' Nas at the time) and Nas were the brains behind The Firm. Stoute tried to get Mega to sign a wack deal and Mega wasn't havin' it so he got replaced with Nature. The last thing you heard Mega on with them was the "Affirmative Action" remix. Nature got on a DJ Clue tape talkin' slick about Mega and Mega beat him down in QB. That's where the whole beef between him and Nas started.

Nature has always been one of the illest to grab the mic... just as lyrically inclined as the elite in Nas, Cormega, and AZ. Although, if it came down to Mega and Nature, I'd personally go with Mega. But I don't understand how Mega was uprooted from the Firm anyway... why not have the ill lyricism of both he and Nature?!?! Ultimately, Nature's a lyrical assassin... nuff said.

I dissed Nature at first because he was going at Nas. But then, my roommate freshman year of college, who was from Brooklyn, popped this CD in. I've been down with Nature ever since. This was the best debut album of a Queens arist in my humble opinion. Illmatic was okay, but this was more raw.
