A sublime vocal performance. There's always something new to catch the ear. Sometimes when she does more 'pop' type material, she seems to me, to be commenting on the tune and lyric - whilst at the same time presenting them fairly straightforwardly; hard to put it into words. Absolutely astonishing though.

I hope I managed to let you know how much you meant to me, and still do. I haven't forgot. I never knew what a Flim Flam Man I was until I met you. I've always loved Laura Nyro and I just don't think she ever received quite the recognition that she deserved, but the artists that recorded her compositions all did her proud I think...Streisand, Three Dog Night, 5th Dimension. Nobody's gonna care about this, except for other Joes like me, but she did a song herself, "Good-bye, Joe," that is really sweet.

i love the laura nyro songs, although i admit i prefer the way the other people sing them, but a comment from another sight said the truth that without these great songs written by laura we wouldn't have them sung by such great artist. If you like more of a folk sound listen to her version. However, these were the songs i grew up on. My mom and step-dad had a collection of over 300 albums alone and about 100 reel to reels of some of the most amazing music. I owe my loveof music to my mom.

well i do have the cd i found it!! its an amazing song but my computer sdoesnt accept cds for some odd reason! so i cant put it on my comp least i can listin to it again. ahh uve heard this song? like my friends would no way of heard of it cause the cd is very hard to find!
