  • can you try with nissan maxima 2000 the remote control doesn't work i dont know how i can program

    thanks

  • worked!

  • still doesnt work, i have a toyota camry

  • @454ffv Hmmm not sure- Anyone else on here know what's up?

  • it's a wheel lock... prevents theft...the key isn't stuck. people are stupid.

  • You have to be stupid not to know that! And it has over 100 thousand views! that just makes me ashamed of america!

  • que estupido eso es una llave que por la misma estupides de la gente no lee los manuales de sus autos y ni se da cuenta de porque suseden las cosas

  • i remember when i first passed my test in like 1980's and steering lock was a new thing to me as i had a car and my instructor would take the car off lock position for me and i remember thinking what the hells wrong with my car and like a idiot some old granny said your car steering locks on and she had to show me i felt so embarrassed.

now i don't give a shit plus i had a hot 1980's chick in my car..

  • @jellyboy123 hahah

  • Worked nice!

  • I've actually had a friend of mine call me saying his car wouldn't start, went out to help him and it was this problem. I can't believe there are actually people who don't know this....

  • i found that out by myself when i was 11yrs old

  • why the hell does this have so many dislikes....

  • @anThononyian Exactly.... and if people know this already then why are they watching it?

  • @pumthuggee

Because no one would think it would be the silly meaning of the title....ppl take it the more complicated case of the key being stuck.

  • @anThononyian because normal people know the wheel have a key and you need turn the wheel to open the key

  • dumb mother fuckers that dont know about things like this shouldnt own a car...

  • @thequietrebel420 this isent acctuallycommon nolege dip shit

  • @mrWEATHAN it actually should be.. its something called steering lock..

  • You're a fucking retard.

  • you just saved me hundreds of dollars from the dealer/locksmiths who tried to convince me my car's key and lock and tumbler mechanism were worn out. THANK YOU!

  • @blitz195 no prob!

  • @blitz195 what assholes. it's a safety feature in most modern cars. if you don't have a key, you can't steer the car. so hot wire-ers cant go anywhere..... what money hungry bastards

  • wow

  • THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! :D

  • @chanelnumbafive Welcome

  • you should get an oscar for this information

  • @jason19on81tour The information that the major car companies DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW! or something. I like to think of myself as a ninja of key-turning.

  • @montanamissy

You know how to use YouTube but your coudnt figure that out? Geez what is this world coming too!

  • well we got a rental car tht did tht so we didnt noe so we sat in tha drive way for some minutes

  • Everyone who is able to drive a car, already knows this. Thanks for taking less then a minute out of your boring life to make such a stupid video.

  • no shit sherlock

  • you're welcome haha

  • sorry, thats wrong... its not that your wheel isnt straight. its that when your car was unlocked and like a dumbass, someone turned the wheel left and right until it locked. How about stop fucking with the wheel when there is no key in it, and you can avoid the whole thing....

  • That is a safety measure,,,,,

  • www

  • ww.alibaba.com/product-free/122756749/Car_Power_Key.html

  • If you did not already know this you must have voted for oBama!

  • @timehling hahah

  • @timehling if u did ur dumb.

  • Thank you so much! My truck does that waaaayyyy too often and back when my husband was alive, he would take care of it. Problem was, he never told me how. Thank you for being 'my hero'.

  • lolol i have that issue in the same car, 2005 Scion XB

  • @playingwithfirehurts Seriously though do you not love your XB? It's the best car of all time

  • @pumthuggee my dad has a 2009 5spd

  • Amazing! Something so stupid. Your video saved me a lot more grief. Thanks!

  • @crashutah1 Welcome-

  • thx man i had that problem too it works God bless you

  • It doesn't work any more on my truck you idiot !

  • anybody who doen't know this, should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car

  • -DUHHH !!!!!!!!

-Toyota owners need this kind of instruction.

  • FUCK !!!WHY DO CARS HAVE PROBLEMS AND YES IT MAKES ME VERY ANGRY !!!!

    HOW IS THIS POSSIBKLE

  • Is this video serious? Does this means that, there are people that are eligible to drive a car and don't know something basic like this? Come on...

    This is so basic! :S

  • Is that the same way if its opposite? Im having issues, your ignition looks very similar to mine, however, mine locks at the acc part, and I can not get it to go back to the LOCK position, it gets stuck at Acc.. Any tips?

  • @TheInsaneJaguar Hmmm not sure- what car?

  • @pumthuggee 1999 Corolla

  • @TheInsaneJaguar Man, not sure what's up- Maybe some other users on here can help out?

  • Most likely a bad or worn key make a split wafer misalign inside the ignition cyliner. Should cost about $125.00 to have the split wafers taken out at a lockshop.

  • @TheInsaneJaguar I had a similar problem with a 98 grand prix and it turned out there was a solenoid that went bad in the gearshift so the vehicle didnt recognize that it was in park. If you wait a little while they sometimes come out? If so probably the same issue, my options were to replace the solenoid (over 400 plus labor so no) or there was a way to get the keys to release by pressing a spring in a hole on the underside of the steering column not sure if it'd be the same on a corolla tho

  • @TheInsaneJaguar toyotas use a certain type of tumbler which are split in half . the one half gets stuck and wont let the ignition turn completely back. the only way to fix it is to take it to a locksmith and have them remove the pins. make sure you dont keep trying to turn it off, because it just may, then it may not turn back on. then you're in trouble

  • @TheInsaneJaguar trying pushing it in while turning it back. thats what you have to do with the 03 corolla

  • Also, If you try turning it hard to the right or left when it is locked and turning the key at the same time. That works too.

  • Come on guys, this should be basic car knowledge! The steering wheels locks when it's turned slightly (when the key is NOT in the ignition) as part of a anti-theft system car manufactures use. To unlock it, just insert the key in the ignition, turn the wheel slightly which ever way it will go, and turn the key to unlock. Simple!

I don't know, reading some of these comments, some people shouldn't be allowed on the road.

  • Your car is a scion xa or , xb. Do I win ? :P

  • @rodneycastxd XB- you WIN!

  • @pumthuggee what do i win :O?

  • @rodneycastxd Mad REspect!

  • Thanks so much finally got this annoying problem fixed!!

  • I hate when this happens. On my new Honda too. Bastards.

  • @337IceMan50Roundz try pulling it alil out while turning its the key trust meh its a copy

  • figured this out since i was in third grade and was trying to start my moms car. SO many idiots out there

  • Works every time lol...

  • fuck yes thank you I got it fixed

  • @337IceMan50Roundz Hmmm weird- What year and model car?

  • God, I hope he does a video explaining how to put my shoes on. I'm sitting here looking at them right now, and I just can't figure it out.

  • @chriskeenan1 If your shoes don't go on right it's because the lace-lock is on. You need to undo the laces while pulling the top sides of the shoe apart from each other and then put the shoes on your feet, then they'll tie right up!

  • @pumthuggee They're slip- ons mate. Lol nice reply though. :)

  • @chriskeenan1 hahahah problem solved!

  • oh man, your are find out america, bravo :D

  • This happened to me this morning before i left for school i was setting in the driveway for like 30min trying to figure out how to get it started till i asked my step dad when i left the house for work lol

  • @ItsTripWire nice!

  • Thanks! Worked great

  • @kahtiayh No probs!

  • This is a good video, because plenty of people don't realize that seemingly simple thing.

  • um guessing your car is some sort of cheap dodge do i win?

  • @benspreen Hahh sorry- it's a cheap scion. close tho

  • lol this happened to my bros friend and they called me out to meet them at 3 AM because they couldnt get there car started, she said she has been trying to start it for 30 minutes. i told her "did u turn the wheel and try it" and she did and it started right up hahah they all felt soo dumb.

  • @STREETRACEN4U Hahah everyone's first time is dramatic

  • @pumthuggee ya lol. i always knew this i thought it was common sence, but i guess not. lol i also met an old lady in a parking lot who didnt know how to start her car and my aunt had to show her to move the wheel and turn it lol. that was years ago though

  • wow so fucking magical.

  • WAT IS THIS DRIVING FOR DUMMIES??????

  • my situation is the oposite i want to know how to lock my steering wheel. so that way i could do that each time i park

  • @Bashie101 Hmmm = not sure. I think some older cars don't do the steering lock thing. Not really sure

  • @Bashie101

just switch off the engine, remove the key and turn your steering wheel counter-clockwise until you hear it locked

  • all you have to do is turn the wheel when its off

  • @Bashie101

after you turn off your car just turn the steering wheel to the left

    and it should click

    works for my car

  • @Bashie101 just turn it to one side or the other and it should lock

  • I could cry I love you so much

  • @navutokaboy, hey nobody was born with knowledge. My question to you is "What is the [integration of 1 / (x^2+2x+2)^2]dx. Great video Pumthugee. Thanks for the little knowledge.

  • @dfmgs86 wow, im sure you feel high and mighty with a dumbass response like that! This is basic knowledge for driving that you should know before even driving a damn car, with lack of knowledge of these basics show complete disregard for safety, safety concerns everyone, thats the reason for my comments, Your irrelevant question on my knowledge or lack thereof makes me laugh, Car key trouble to Calculus Intergration? WTF you need to get out more be more social and know when to just shut th f up

  • @navutokaboy There are some people that are JUST beginning to drive and dont know everything about cars, cause when i took my first lessons , the instructor never told me this .

  • LOL

  • lol

    thanx

  • what, is this realy a help hahahahhah c'mon this is a dumb advice. erase this supidity

  • Everybody knows that, man...

  • ive never understood y does the wheel lock

  • @TaylorOnTheMic In most modern cars, the steering is power controlled. That means when the engine is off, steering is barely possible. It is possible to steer with the engine off, but usually this only happens when the car needs to be moved to, say... a tow truck. Hypermilers often steer their cars with the engine off, especially when going down hills. That's a very dangerous practice. There are better ways to save fuel.

  • Thank you so much, ive been having this trouble for so long. I would sit in the car for 3 minutes trying to turn it on and it's very embarrassing when I have friends in the car

  • You're Driving a Scion xB. I'm not particularly a fan of the car but I guess its practical and reliable...
