  • Yo look at my 175 videos ;)

  • Great find man!

  • Ya, well if you need parts and what not just check out ebay, just type in tri moto 175!

  • Great score man! When you get it all restored make sure you take your turns slow on the trails and open dirt until you get used to the machine. I used to ride a honda 200s and while turning at speed I shifted my body wate to compensate for front tire grip and to prevent the machine from rolling, so say you are turning left around a curve, just shift some of your upper body towards the front left of the machine but as I said start out slow till ya get a feel for the gravity forces.

  • @Presto218 well this machine is far from being in restored shape lol

  • Your both wrong the only two years they manufactured the 175s were 82-83.

  • it is not good to use quick start spray

  • thats for your trann. you will see a ill level plug almost directly below the oil add cap that you unscrewed i hte video. remove hte oil fill bolt and fill till oil comes out thn your all done and use a acual atv tranny oil. motor oil for cars has synthetics involved this may make your clutch slip thus prematurly wearing out your clutch. eiter way nice atc

  • there fun wheelers

  • does it need a key because i found ond and i dont know

  • @duffyboby dont need a key

  • @duffyboby and umm none of the three wheelers need a key the are pullstarts there on hell of a machine i have mine wwith my right now..

  • @fredbmx2000 When you say "none of the 3 wheelers" what exactly do you mean? Because I can think of several models that have electric start and DO require a key to be pull/kick started.

  • wet sand the plastic, then theres this product out there that brings the shin back to the plastics. I used it on a cr125 i had and a ytm200 and the plastics were worse then yours and it brought them right back.

You should be able to get the stuff at any power sports place...just tell them what your lookin to do and they should know the name of the product

  • You lucky prick, just kidding, nice score. Ride her but please take care of her. Oh & just get a seat cover, they are not that much & duck tape just looks god awful.

  • dude jus buy new plastic foam nd a seat cover not dat expensive

  • there is so much bs on this video, I rode this bike 12 years, I never changed the oil till about 4 years ago and the tranny a few years ago LOL drove it anywhere.

get wreckless on that shit its the most fun ever ive clocked atleats 1000hr full throttle use :P top out across the frozen lake !

  • use either a buffer with turtle wax or steel wool to get that stuff off of the fenders also try a cheese cloth they work to

  • nice bro it looks mint fresh tires hahah nice bike i got the same but need sum parts it was my pops from way back lol

  • Looks good man, I got a free ytm200... It looked AWFUL! But I power-washed all of the plastics and they cleaned up. ow I need to get it running and stop th oil from getting in the cylinder lol. Big project ahead of me.

  • check the vin number and if it does not have 17 digits it is 69 or earlier

  • @foxxentertainmentvid um theres no way its a 69.

  • @yamaharules163 oh woops I meant 79 my fault

P.S. how old are you you sound young

  • @foxxentertainmentvid i was 15 here now im almost 16. they still wernt a 79, i think the first year was a 81

  • @yamaharules163 oh you sounded younger and also I know that they only had under a 17 digit till 79 then they made a 17 digit but also would you say that the thing goes faster than 35-40mph

  • @rc10gt130 Yea anybody can handle a three wheeler, the fact that you are oblivious to is the serious design flaw of this particular atc. ALL of the weight is in the back of the bike making the front end very light. Due to this design flaw a simple imperfection in the road could cause you to lose steering briefly which could lead to a collision. I stand as a warning, this bike has the most lousy handling and worst weight distribution of any ATC ever created.

  • Nice ATC you got there, don't listen to those guys saying you can't Handel it cuz I was riding a Honda 250r at 10 years old and have had it ever sence, Ride On!!!

  • i can hear replay in the background

  • im shur this kid can handle it i had u wasnt 2 comfortable buy hey beggers cant b choosers good find little dude and good luck plus make shur u wear a helmet

  • HELL YEAH KID NICE BIKE...DONT LISTEN TO ALL THESE SCARED ASSHOLES YOU CAN HANDLE THAT BIKE NO PROB GIVEN THAT YOU ARE A LEVEL HEADED TYPE OF GUY...DONT LET THEM TELL YOU SHIT!

  • mine has the same problem with the paint, it's like embeded dirt or something

  • @badcentury03 My paint did the same thing, try sanding it and then going over it with a propane torch. That should recondition the plastic back to new!

  • pretty cool for a free tri moto have fun learn to shift your weight in the turns and be careful remember its only as safe as the rider

  • i got a tri moto 200s amd ill do 60mph on county roads with the ass end floating cuz im going so fast i think he can handle a 175 we had a rack on ours to with 2 riders and we still could turn a little bit

  • Wow I wish mine started that easy

  • I hate it when people see a three wheeler and they automatically say you're going to kill yourself. It's a stupid stigma that people need to get over. I will admit, a three wheeler is probably the hardest to ride (skill wise) than a bike quad or trike but as long as you wear a helmet and don't ride over your head you'll be fine.... Trikes are no dangerous that quads in the right hands... Just don't become a statistic. Nice freebie though!

  • @Shablaca good comment, people need to be smart riders

  • the light is probably the regulator is shot, it is hardwired in the wireing harness. the oil fill level plug is on the bottom right side of the filler plug you had your hand on, the drain plug is on the very bottom, make sure the copper gasket is still there. The choke cable can be ordered aftermarket, I just got one. the air box cover off of a 125 will fit your airbox as will the seat. if you have questions canman2001opel@yahoo.ca , I have rebuilt a few of these. Currently working on a 125.

  • I use to rebuild and drive these trikes if you want to know how to fix it and where to get parts ask me, I have a 125 and 2 other 125 as parts my friend has a 175 that I went through last winter. I can tell you what the common problems are with them. Canman2001opel@yahoo.ca is my e-mail just put the title YT175

  • nice trike the air box lid off of a 125 will fit, the steering colum has the nameplate with the make model and year on it. You can get an aftermarket choke for it, I just got one for my 125. the headlight is probably blown because the voltage regulator is pootched and it is part of the wiring harness and as for the transmision there is a oil filler bolt on the right hand side of the filler cap you had your hand on in your video. the idea is when you change the oil ( drain plug in the bottom )

  • Sell it quick this bike is more than you can handle. It's the worst bike Yamaha has ever made. The best ATC riders struggle to ride this bike, get rid of it quick before you kill yourself! If you have ridden it yet you know there is not enough weight on the front so you cant turn. I know of two riders that have both wound up in the hospital because of this failure of design. I have one of these in my shed right now that I am trying to get rid of.

  • @Spywell I agree its a dumb design, but I can handle it fine.

  • @yamaharules163 No you cant handle it, if professionals cant handle it then you cant. I grew up on Honda ATC's and this bike is just too dangerous. Here are two scenarios you MUST look out for. One rider with over 20yrs experience with ATC's messed himself up when his TriMoto flipped on him climbing sand dunes. A hot chick had one of these, she went to turn left and the front tire came up forcing her to go straight and collider with a semi trailer.

  • @Spywell yes the motor was placed way to far back in the chassis but I can still handle it. I wont be climbing any steep hill on it compaired to my bigred.

  • @Spywell yes this is a dangerous trike but at the same time, I survived and so did my friends, I think with your warning this kid will remember your warning and be carefull Most people grip hard when they panic and that is dangerous with this trike because the front tire comes up easily.

  • @Spywell dude 3 wheels are better then 4

ya cant always be safe in life..

  • @coshyno LOL not always I can name plenty of scenarios where I much rather prefer 4 wheels to 3, I have 7 Three wheelers consisting of 5 Hondas, 1 Yamaha and 1 Kawasucki. I think I would know where 4 wheels are better than three and that is pretty much everywhere I ride. The yamaha is a piece of shit, my Tri Moto 175 blew the top end, little did we know it was the infamous bottom end that also ruined the brand new top end last week. Junk bike, 2 expensive to replace & very dangerous.

  • @Spywell well thats your choice

id much rather like a 3 wheeler to tip on me than a 400+lbs 4 wheeler

plus atc's are much more fun

ive had countless accident on them when i was young and dumb because i did not respect them

    now i know my limits

    so stop bashing atc's please

  • @coshyno The trails I ride are very difficult on ATC's and it's very easy to lose stability and run into a tree or something. As for tipping, it's so much easier to tip an ATC that I would have to pic an atv because it's so much more rare to flip unless you get really stupid.

I am very familiar with you ATC elitists, every bike has it's strengths and weaknesses, this yamaha in particular has a design problem, kawasucki atc's have to be fixed more than ridden. The honda atc's are good.

  • @Spywell well thats you opinion haha

you should see the trails here..

i go to place where no 4 wheels would.

but the safest of all is the dirt bike

does not mean your on 4 wheels your safe..

    LONG LIVE ATC'S

  • @Spywell i think as long as the kid aint hot dogging with it n being a dumb ass it would be a perfect starter bike. they are nly dangerous if you make it dangerous. you dont have to be a professional rider to ride one of these things. not everybody wants to go jumping 5ft in the air and drift all the time. you respect and maintain the machiene, nothing could go wrong. other then driver error. my parents want me to crash, so i can learn from it. thats the best way to learn.

  • @kowal789 I agree with you, that's the sole reason I wanted to make it clear to him. My 175 litteraly pulls the wheel off the ground from 0-1/4 throttle due to all the weight being in the back. You really have to try to not pull the front up on this bike. Although he got it for free yamaha had a real big problem with the bottom ends going out on this bike. So he may not have it very long anyways, my bottom end just went out and shelled the b-new top end. Ebay is full of bad 175 engines.

  • @Spywell dumbass

  • or free wheeler

    ...?

  • haha i get it

  • Updates ??

  • its been the same since this video, runs awesome

  • i wish i had one of those. it sounds great. you got a good deal gettin that for free, the cheapest one here is over $250

  • @cjmotorsified Yes it is pretty sweet

  • DONT SELL IT KEEP IT. the first few times you ride it it will feel really weird, but STICK WITH IT AND YOU'LL END UP LOVING IT.

  • @JOJOBANANAZ1 Thats exactly what I did haha

  • did u say 3 stroke?

  • Dont think so.

  • ok, good cause, well yeah, that explains itself.

  • lucky i know some people who have like 10 of them

  • I'll buy it off you

  • @bwelsh321 how much

  • Comment removed

  • for the plasic depending on how rough it is i always used very light grade sand paper so it doesnt dig into the plastic and sometimes will clean up with an sos pad and water

  • Free is good- specially since it runs is better!

Id try a plastic polish on the part you pointed out, about the seat, id get some foam and look for a large piece of fake leather or vynal, let it set in the sun, spray the foam and cover with spray glue and mold it to the seat- itll look and last longer then duck tape.

  • oh sweet ya got it running no need to fix it, lol. cant wait till break, we gotta goo 3 wheeling. Shit man we will be able to drive we can just go by ourselves whenever.

  • Ya i was gonna text you about me getting it running, to bad its not spring right now, haha

  • triking in winter is more fun. you seen my videos

  • sounds nice 5*****

  • I am so jealous idk if I can ever watch this vid again lolz jk. my parents would never let me ride on of those fuckers. easy to flip, but if I ever get a chance to ride one i will

  • Rust in peace... by the way, ill trade you my 86 big red for it. get a nettle and thread and some of those bandana things and sew it together on the seat works good.

  • you are so lucky ivve beeen looking for one of those

  • Where do you live?

  • @yamaharules163 oregon why
