I agree rocky marciano was a great fighter. the only fighter to be undefeated in the heavyweight division. The thing you must keep in mind is the skill in physicality of opponents. the thing is people, you can say that about most boxers at some point when they start losing. there's only a small few who have managed an unbeaten career and left on a high. fighters always hit a peak....and there's only one way to go. it happens. so there is no point in saying he would have beaten X, as he didnt, he fought him when he did. most boxers don't leave the game when they know they should and consequently they start to lose fights they wouldn't have a few years earlier

I agree rocky marciano was a great fighter. the only fighter to be undefeated in the heavyweight division. The thing you must keep in mind is the skill in physicality of opponents. Its like basketball in cinsideration of wilt chamberlain. He scored 108 points when the three point line was way in and he was the tallest on the court most of the time. I believe that the fighters in ali's time were much more physically gifted compared to the fighters of old.
