  • She was 14 when she started being a friend of Ziegfeld.

Born in 1904, washed up at the Follies in 1920.

Fortunately, she was extremely bright and graduated summa cum laude from a University.

  • Why are they showing several pictures of Louise Brooks?

  • @Handiman544 Louise Brooks was in the Ziegfeld Follies....

  • Hi Staclynn, thank you for including me about your move to FB...i left FB the site is peppered with annoying ads way to much info snooping. and juvenilistic to the point of nausea. emphasize on more catchy ads (actually i find insulting ) than maintain a quality site. But people seam to like that kind of stuff so Good luck. !

  • Hi, I gave you a like on facebook ! Question, have you ever come across " The Schozzola twins " on your searches ? I think they were a burlesque act.

    C.1920`s

  • Superb images, superb girls.

  • @bamsdram Just moved my Ziegfeld Follies Girls Tribute to facebook, "Glorifying the American Girl" If you'd like to take a look. Thanks!

  • Today is the first anniversary of her passing. She was so much more than a "Century Girl"---she was more like a thousand-year girl. Rest well, my dear. You are now with God in the joy and beauty of youth, and you'll never have to stop dancing, ever.

  • @goddessinsecta Wow Its been a year already. I found out about her shortly before she passed away..

  • BREATHTAKING!!! I had the honor of working with Doris at several Easter Bonnets and she was sadly missed and lovingly honored yesterday! Thank you for this montage of the past glamour of Broadway. Today's "stars" could only hope to be half as elegant. Simply Breathtaking!

  • @makeupjason Thank You, an era gone forever, she was a classy woman, as were the other girls. We will never see women like these again...

  • @VictoriasRoses Did you check out my Ziegfeld Tribute page on myspace?

  • @staclynn72 HI No, I did not know you had one. I was without a computer this week. I will go look. :)

  • How beautiful. My great Aunt Mildred Ivory performed in several "Zieglfeld Follies" and productions and also Ed Wynn Productions in the 1920s through the early 1930s. She died in 1969; these women were all such beautiful individuals and this photo tribute presents that so very well. Blessings to you Doris - who brought life, love and joy to her faithful admirers and students of dance over many, many years. Thank you for sharing and producing this wonderful video...

  • At 2:01 we see Harpo's wife, Susan Fleming--Another Ziegfeld girl that the 21st Century has stolen from us.

Thank you for posting this lovely tribute to the always special Doris Eaton. I never met her, but I miss her dearly.

  • What a vision she was - the images are just amazing - she often looks like someone from a dream. Having always been a fan of old black and white movies, I never miss an opportunity to watch a movie with the Z Girls.

Thanks so much - it is a lovely video.

  • @seandeyoung01 Thanks for your comment.

  • @seandeyoung01 Thanks for commenting! She was very pretty..

  • What a beautiful tribute to such beautiful women. Some of those outfits are a bit risque even by today's standards, but they are also very, very classy.

  • @TheLadyMalfoy I couldn't use some of the photographs I found, they were just to much for my taste, those were the most tasteful ones.

  • Beautiful tribute to a time long gone.

  • true beauty.... what a long wonderful life she had...
