YAY! Someone who dosen't put their fish in a cup!:) I just got my betta a 5 gallon tank:) I can't wait to put him in it! He is a blue/ green betta. He has a black face, blue body, blueish green tail, and hints of red on some of his fins:) His name is Akio,which means bright/shiney boy in japanese.
Aww Cherry! What a pretty little fellow. We had some of those. They will jump at the food in your hand and pluck it from your fingers if you train them long enough :)
We found it out as a fluke. I'd be dropping them in one at a time and he'd swim up, gulp it and wait for the next. Well, I think he just got irritated one day and just jumped. First it scared the hell out of me, and then it made me laugh. :)
The little tank that Cherry is in has only a small lid to open for putting in the food, so I don't think he will be doing much jumping. I guess he will have to be content with swimming and people watching.
Me too. I had a 40 gallon tank years ago. I think it has been long enough for me to forget how much work is involved in keeping a tank clean. LOL. I am really enjoying watching this little guy swim around.
He's SO beautiful!!! I LOVE having fishies!! I had a tank full of them, but someone got sick, and then they all died. I had a GORGEOUS peacock male Betta. He just died about a month ago.
Hi Michelle. I haven't seen a peacock Betta yet. I'm going to look for a photo on the internet. I have a lot to learn about this kind of fish. He was barely moving when we got him. I feel relieved that he is doing well and seems happy in his new tank.

Blue is his favorite color. He gets mad if he sees anything red, especially another fish :-)
