  • Any 5 year period? What if that period was 1988-1993? What if was from 2003-2008? Why would you get your license suspended TODAY for a 5 year period that was many years ago? This doesn't make any sense.

  • @christo930 - The HTO revocation would occur when you have three serious driving offenses within the last 5 years. So if you had three DWLS from 1988-1993 the DMV could not impose a HTO revocation in 2012. It is the third offense that triggers the HTO revocation and the DMV looks back five years from that offense. That is probably a better way to explain it.

  • @SammisLawFirm Ok. So today is 2/11/12,so if I had a ticket in 2010, they could go back to 2005? The 5 year period (going backwards) has to have started within the last 5 years, so that if 4 years ago I had a serious offense, they go back to 9 years ago? Do I understand that correctly?

  • I wish that first time DUI offenders would only lose their drivers license for only 6 months!!

  • @WCD73 How long does a 1st time DUI with no accident and no injuries suspend your license?
