first of all great harmony (esp. that leading voice guy); a little puzzled as to the yelling (lol); Praise God for the truth he used a suffering saint like Cowper to express. We are saved to sin no more =]
Praise God we all have His Holy Spirit and objectively have that anointing outside of our emotional experiences! I didn't "feel" anything, but I trust that if Christ was truly glorified in their midst - God the Spirit was present and ministering.
@LuKe10559 Hey, good question! Personally its sad that one has to ask that, but nowadays, dude, "christians" have outgrown the old tradition hymns..you know.. those with good theology...anyway to answer your question, Grace Christian Assembly in Smyrna Tennessee sings this song, along with other hymns, quite regularly. Check out their website, salvationbygrace[dot]org You will find teaching there that you wont even get in seminary. Truly worth the time to check out!
@childofGod45 You "felt the anointing," there's a phrase you don't find in the bible. The Holy Spirit should always be present in the Church. Every Christian is anointed with the Holy Spirit. To be Christian is to have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it's not something you feel, or something that comes and goes, rather it's something that you have; it's what you are. YOU are the anointed Christian. Meh, but perhaps i'm too Calvinistic to be pentecostal...
