  • Another great video for the shooting community. Thanks for the test.

  • maybe its just the angle but that gun looks over gassed that brass is flying wayyy forward.

  • this video convinced me to buy PMAGs when they first came out

  • Awesome vid bro!

    Thumbs up.

  • Great video

  • Do you recommend the Use of Stacking M4 Magazine Pouches (where the is direct contact between 2 magazines) if i use MagPul PMags (M-Version) with Ranger Plates and Traction Tape?

  • Pmag viewing window - ghetto version

  • Lets Stand right in front of the ejection port and have rounds come inches in front of your face!! Fail, yeah some contractor you are. Good video, horrible safety practices

  • @Farva11B - You are a fairy.

  • @Farva11B getting hit by ejected casings does not hurt, it only hurts when the casings get stuck in your clothes cause they can burn you. He has eye protection on so I'm not sure why you are all uppity about him being unsafe.

  • @Farva11B how does getting hit by spent brass breach safety?

  • @Farva11B Yes because empty brass has been know to kill so many people, have ever even held a firearm let alone fired one?

  • @Farva11B Dont be such a little bitch.

  • @Farva11B 223 brass is sooo dangerous, some 11B you are

  • Can someone please tell me what's a PMAG? I know it's a magazine but what makes it special or something like that.

  • @ayinozendy They're made by Magpul. They're polymer magazines that are extremely well made and in my opinion are the best AR15 magazines on the market. A friend of mine bought some for his AR and I stomped the thing and it didn't even phase it. Just look around on here, there's a ton of videos of the things being hit with trucks and all kinds of other gnarly stuff.

  • P-mags Are the Best invention of Mags.

  • DAMN. All I can say.

  • its a custom window

  • what kind of scope was that? aimpoint?

  • I wish Magpul made these magazines for the m-14. It does not seem to out of the question.

  • @Banzaiactual They make 7.62 PMAGS. Not sure if they fit the M14, but they fit AR10 types.

    Just look up PMAG LR20

  • Ooooh, I see a URX II rail.

  • SR-15!!

    Damn I love that gun.

  • You guys accidentally shot the mag. I shot one on purpose twice, drug it from a car for 1/4 mile, smashed it with a 30 pound rock, beat it with a stick until the stick broke, and ran over it three times. lol. Yea, they are extremely good magazines, the best I have used. One of the really good things about the pmags is that since it is reinforced polymer it blows out. Shooting a metal mags will cause the metal to flare out on the inside, cause it to not feed properly.

  • Im sold.

  • That's great! I saw the truck vs magpul video too. This just confirms that once I get my AR, these are going to be my magazines of choice.

Thanks for taking the time to film and upload this!

  • James remember on your fighting rifle DVD you said "i don't recommend any plastic mags"..so I guess you never got to try out the PMAGS before or during the filming? -thanks

  • @josephwilliamsperry I don't think the PMags were released at the time of the Fighting Rifle DVD's filming.

  • @Codename46

What you said. They weren't out then. PMags are AWESOME!

  • @JamesYeager James have you ever tried the Lancer L5 mags? What is your opinion of them compared to the Pmags? Also what do you think of the Pmag quad-stack concept?

  • @Codename46 They suck. I got one off of a friend because I thought that the translucent effect looked cool. But I took it outside and was running some drills, the first time I let it fall it cracked the bottom. Pissed me off because I traded one of my Pmags for a piece of junk.

  • there is nothing wrong with any handling with any of the firearms in this video these are pro gun handlers you guys should have seen how we acted in the the military around eachothers guns this is completly safe are you guys are a bunch of internet haters that are trying to give a true profesional some crap i think you guys so go play with you airsoft guns and leave the real shooting to the pros like james in this video

  • amen. lol

  • I can't believe how many retarded comments are written towards you here, if they are so concerned that an AR-15 will blow up anybody standing beside it, they shouldn't even own firearms.

  • What's your experience with standard GI mags vs P-Mags?

  • They are good and I have a lot of them. PMags are just better.

  • That's freaking ridiculous.

    Magpul makes some quality products.

  • how fucking stupid are you? first of all youre standing to the shooters side which is right where the brass is flying and then you move EVEN CLOSER. then you place your hands on the shooters weapon after hes fired a compromised magazine. NEVER EVER put your hands on a shooters weapon after hes just fired it until hes cleared it. THINK when youre out there couch commando

  • Couch commando? I wasn't on the couch when this was filmed. Another thing - here in the U.S. we actually carry loaded guns! That's right as this video was filmed I am wearing two LOADED guns! Amazing huh?

    P.S. Go fuck yourself.

  • Quote: "P.S. Go fuck yourself. "

    Now that's real professional, huh?

  • Since I AM a professional tactical trainer it is indeed professional. I had 1,567 students last year. How many did you have?

  • You don't get it, do you? Telling someone to go "F" themselves is NOT professional.

  • Maybe you don't get it. How do I have over 10,000 students if I am not a professional? Explain that please.

  • Having a million students doesn't make anyone a professional. Your conduct is self explanatory. You haven't got a clue as to the meaning of the word professional. You sir have no class!

  • The definition is - a person who earns a living in an occupation frequently engaged in by amateurs.

I made 1.7 million dollars last year. I think that qualifies me.

  • People who are professional are unfailingly polite, courteous and well-spoken, no matter what the situation. Being professional means that you keep your cool and remain calm under any circumstances. No matter how upset a person makes you, you don't react; you deal with the situation rationally and calmly.

So by telling a poster to "go F yourself", you sir, are not a professional

  • I have more people to go train. We are ahead of where we were last year and 2009 was our best ever. We are set to top it. I would continue this pointless banter but I have money waiting for me because I am a PROFESSIONAL.

    P.S. Go fuck yourself.

  • @djmiked01 Dude, spend 5 minutes in a chow hall full of junior-enlisted Marines and get back to me with the whole "professional" bullshit.

    Fucking POG.

  • dont even listen to this you tube warrior James. telling him to F*** him self has nothing to do with being professional cuz i would to if i had to deal with some kid who plays airsoft and bought a magpul dvd no pun intended lol. we all know your credible. what id like to see is him tell a navy seal hes unprofessional for using fowl language he would get more than that lol. unfortunately your in the public eye more so you cant but im sure you could. keep up the great work.

  • Rock on dude.

  • yep i hope sometime soon to take a trip to come train. you guys look like you got some sweet courses. again keep up the great work.

  • lol you think your being all Righteous telling people how to act all those rules are in my opinion overkill you act like the brass is deadly or something touching a gun wont make it go off unless you touch the trigger UNLESS under massively unlucky circumstances the sear magically releases but then all your rules wont stop it from going off

  • okay im thinking about switching to a 6.8 round. do pmags hold em.

  • @Ranger115gamer

Last I heard, Magpul doesn't have anything in the works for a 6.8 compatible mag. Right now, your best bet is a Barrett mag. They're a little on the expensive side but they're well worth it.

  • Love the pmag got a couple and still ordering them. worth the money . so dont be cheap and buy the pmag.

  • I just bought 6 PMags for my AR. They are AMAZING! There's a reason troops in Iraq are buying these with their own money to use over there!

  • does anybody kno wut surefire light that is

  • What kind of upper is that? It looks really well balanced.

  • i hope these get deployed, they can save lives, they work like a miracle

  • Is that Beretta rec7?

  • you mean barret rec7. and yeah it certainly looks like a rec7. either that or its one of those new colt monolithics.

  • @learnalitheway not beretta, Barrett.

  • So do you recommend PMAGs now? Just asking because in Fighting Rifle you were adament about the standard USGI mag being all you need. Can't wait till I have the funds for class and ammo.

  • Yes I do actually. PMags weren't available when I made that DVD series.

  • Is that a M-468?

  • nope...M468 shoots the 6.8SPC..this is 5.56mm, but I do believe he said it was a Barrett-made rifle.

  • I'm new to the AR15 world. I have a bunch of unopened green follower mil-spec mags. I want the BEST for my rifle though.

    P Mags > USGI????

  • What is the rifle? Looks like a Colt 6940.

  • I love the PMAGS, they run great in my Sig 556. This video is surely a testament to their ruggedness.

  • I have 6 of these in my rig on my plate carrier. Excellent magazines. More effective than the standard box mags the Marine Corps issues us, and lighter and more resistant than the HK mags. I had some jackass Gunner tell me they crack when you freeze them, and some Philipino Marine told me they melt under heavy testing. So I loaded one, froze it in a bucket of water, thawed it, shot it and it worked flawlessly. No cracks. I've shot these on burst, one mag after another, and they never melted.

  • @Inheritor8

Hell I was shooting in the range with Filipino Marines, all of a sudden I hear "Sir, can I use your gun? Mine not working" I'm there thinking what the hell, went to his M16, cleared it out checked the bolt, dirty as fuck. Well no shit its not working when was the last time he cleaned the damn thing.

  • The P-Mag is by far the best mag I've ever owned. I bought 2 to test now I have 17 of them. I also got a Lula loader for them too. They compliment each other very well.

    Ammosmith

  • its an awesome mag but it has its limits to but they are wayyyyyyy higher than a normal mag

  • Ive got one, it's my favorite mag. So now I have 9 more on the way. Wohoo!

  • Just ordered ten today! Can't wait to toss the GI mags out of my duty assault case!

  • Was the magazine loaded when it was shot?

  • I just bought 5 of these at the local shop. Totally worth it.

  • 2:40, no you cant, they are on national backorder god dammit, i want one.

  • wow. They are that popular and good? When they build more I may order some to the uk if possible.

  • Thank Obama for that. They're being grabbed up out of fear that 30 round mags will be banned by the Democrats. Glad I grabbed my 5 while I could. Great mags.

  • agreed. and fantastic mags. i've switched to them exclusively. i'm a huge fan of magpul because of the pmag

  • I'm pretty stoked about not being able to buy these mags because AR fags are flipping out about an assault weapons ban that won't happen in his first term. Not like I need them for deployment or anything, douche bags.

  • define AR fags some of us AR fags are

    18D4VF7W8B4

  • Has anyone tried the mini 14 pmag? Let me know how it worked. Thanks.

  • p mags good to go

  • how did it get shot

  • ...a bullet of course! :-)

  • I meant to ask what happened when it was shot unless yall are using PMAGs as unorthodox targes :) (I'm a big fan of your vids and PMags)

  • It was laying on the ground during a bounding drill in one of our HRCC classes.

  • If that isn't reliability, I have no clue what is...

  • Very kool stuff. Thanks for the vid.

  • to fill it up under the holem did you need to put the spring bak in??

  • Watch the whole video.

  • thiz mag iz AWESOME!!!

  • do the test with rounds loaded below the hole next time...

  • Watch the entire video. We DID that.

  • I like James, he's not a prick like some law enforcement officers are. He also looks like he'd put you on your ass if you mouthed off to him. I wish TR would have more classes near Ohio though.

  • I like the window version. Three dollars more... well worth it.

The orange-marked spring is another great idea... it works!

  • Im curious if the windowed version is less durable. I only bought two for that reason.

  • They are just as tough as the other version.

  • You know if your trying too hide in the dark its probably not a good thing too have a window on the mag where you can see shiny brass bulletsXP

  • If that gives you away you have other issues that will come up long before.

  • What is the orange marked spring you mention?

  • Considering you are one of the people who has firearms opinions that I respect, I ask you this.

Would you say that P-Mags are as good or better than GI surplus magazines?

Because I plan on getting an AR15 very soon and want dead reliable magazines to run it with.

  • P-Mags are the best AR mags to be had at any price.

  • I agree James..

    bring some classes to Ohio!!

  • agreed 100% makes me pissed i ordered 10hk mags before these puppies came out

  • Fuck HK

  • agreed.

  • agreed... fuck HK lol

  • I have about 10 PMAGs and plan on getting more. They even come with a dust cover so you can store them with rounds and not worry about rounds popping out or what have you. These mags are awesome and feel very durable. I picked them up at shows for about $12-$14. I do not recommend the windowed ones. They said the window will get dirty and it is a failing point on the mag. Plus the windowed ones cost more.

  • The dust cover is to protect the feed lips from bending & warping while storing the mags loaded.

I bought 2 windowed ones for kicks, I wondered if the window would eventually scratch and or become hazy with use.

  • too funny when he starts talking with somebody in the background shooting full auto. He should smacked him with the pmag.

  • We train thousands of people a year. We can't stop all of the classes to make a video. They would be mad :-) That isn't full-auto you hear. It is a Contractor class doing some counter-ambush drills with semi-auto rifles.

  • Wow.

That's impressive. I'm going to have to get those.

  • what rifle is he using?

  • He says it's from Barrett so it probably a variation of Barrett's REC7 or it's predecessor... the M468.

  • It is a prototype Barrett rifle.

  • how do u "accidentally shot" a pmag?

    great vid btw, ordering some!

  • We were doing live fire bounding (back) and the mag was a victim of friendly fire. :-)

  • that's awesome, that's one hell of a mag!

  • Wow, that is impressive. I may switch to PMAG!

  • SOLD!

  • you guys rock, i hope i can get into your Ohio rifle class this May.

  • We would be glad to train with you.

  • hey those were all over your basement :P

  • How did it work with the spring broken in half? I'm missing something.

  • We stretched it out (as I said in the video).

  • A hole in the side of the mag! What a great idea... a window! They could call it... say... the "Maglevel Window" or something like that! ;-)

  • :-)

They actually do have a model with a window though.

  • I think thats what he was hinting at...

  • FOR SALE: several dozen aluminum and stainless M4/M16 magazines...

Man, that's THREE PMAGs I know of that have been "damaged" but like the other two, THEY STILL FUNCTION!

I outfitted my little bro with PMAGs a while back... he's in the sandbox with the 82nd... he's notorious for breaking things... like a Humvee! He's yet to break one of these and has yet to have a malfunction! One less thing I need to worry about!

Thanks Tactical Response and thank you MAGPUL!!!

  • Nice work...

  • There were a few cases of aluminum USGI magazines taking rounds in our HRCC class and I cant say that any of the magazines were usable afterwards. They were shot at different angles and were not through and through shots like on this PMAG, so who knows if it would have done any better.

  • Could you fill it up the whole way and still make it work? A fully loaded mag i mean.

  • Watch the entire video. That is what we did. There are two video sections.

  • bout time they sell a plastic mag. that doesn't need dremeling to function.

  • Wow. Awesome. Once again your videos are entertaining and informative, not to mention this a great sale pitch. "It can take what it dishes out too". Very nice.

  • That's really impressive. Very cool.
