  • If the raining season is late for 1 month only, more 3 millions lives are at risk. Despite all this hardship which is affecting 9-10 Ethiopians. The government of Ethiopia is keying to press on to fight a border war with Eritrea in an imaginable scale were human life is worthless and the cost is estimated to 978 millions US dollars. With this money they can feed everyone with breads. I am a European and I hold my ground based on the fact that we shall not help Africa at all cost.

  • why did you choose, Ethiopia wean other african have semler parabellum ?

  • There's no words to express this, these people, its like they're just there, just existing because they need to. Its whats being called tough. They go through all this, and yet they don't complain about it, they know its the way of life that they have to live through. They don't need bright shiny houses, flashy cars that everyone thinks they should have like the western world. They need to preserve the ways of their own lives, but without the starvation and the corruption of the government.

  • Not all of Africa is like this...besides you speak as if Africa is the only place with problems...The whole world has problems and different people have different ways of dealing with their problems...So please dont put regard in all of Africa but in the country this pertains to...:]

  • Hi christy here.I was the guy from Ireland living in Lalibela to plant trees when you made this documentary.Although there is extreme hardship in these places it is one of the most beautifull and inspiring places Ihave ever been to and the people are wonderfull and welcoming. These farmers where once the lords of the land and lived in abundance but due to many factors including deaforestation and war

they have come on hard times. These people are proud and very capable of changing there reailty

  • Amazing. Can you post the whole documentary?

  • I was just wondering what has been done since you created this video? Have you receieved any help from anyone? I am really touched by this video and I am just curious in what happened since then?

  • this seriously makes me want to cry, flies on the Injerra? this is too much suffering.

  • I can't stand watching this vid'd but I must in order to learn and seek ways to help my people of Africa. It makes me SO upset, especially because a majority of the problem is as a result of those GREEDY CORRUPT african government. What Africa needs is a better government, and lets prohibit those who are corrupt from gaining power.

  • u kno what thou.. i dont know what the government do with the money that they get from UN, IMF and also form indivituals ,,

And not only hunger is in ethiopia ,, im surpise dis guy who is from africa talk about ethiopian hunger ,, You couldn't make video about your country , why u chose ethiopia instead??? also i bet you got flys in ur country too

  • One would never ever understand the feeling of starvation until it gets to real situation, not like this. He maybe only experiences for around 1-2 months, but the truth is those people will experience those hunger and starvation for their entire life and its nothing compare to what Samura's experience. I did not say it is a bad documentary but I just want to remind people that what Samura had expressed in the video was temporary and not in real life.

  • The funny thing is that they were scared of his size and color as if he came from Mars!

  • this guy is so smart i wish i can talk to you

  • But ethiopians are in denial the only thing they talk is shit about eritria instd of help their poor starved ppl .

  • Hi, you can get the DVD of this film and all of Sorious's work from Insight's website (see above). Living With Hunger costs £10 or about $20.

  • This is a wonderful documentary. Where can I see the rest?

  • Its really intersting documentary. God bless you bro. One Love ! God bless Africa

  • Ethiopians live in denial.

  • Very nice, much respect to you

  • In semi-arid South Africa 'white' farmers represent only 0.01% of the entire population yet produce all of the country's food on less than 6% of the country's surface area. This 40,000 strong group of hardy professionals managed to also feed most of southern Africa until just three years ago but are now being chased off by their government. that's why there's more and more famine in the rest of southern Africa.

  • Very sad!

  • Ethiopians are so racist. What they were saying was not you were Wide or Fat when they went crazy. It was because you were Dark, Wide Nose, Nappy hair.. and you did not look Ethiopian.

Thats why the Altar boy would not let you kiss the Bible.

We Ethiopians, poor and rich, need to stop being so damn racist.

  • wow,this is a very poor contrey

  • Wonderful film. The people of rural Ethiopia are neglected by their government and condemned to die through hunger, mulnutrition and be ignorant even though their government is receiving millions of dollars on their name from donors.

  • Meles is using the money to liberate tigray and put millions into it.

  • This is a typical way of life in contry side of Ethiopia, especially in Amhara region.

  • As an EThiopian, i find this offensive. The author seems to say the Pasta that he ate is the real food and the injera(ethiopian food) he ate is not real food and it is hunger!! What an ignorant person!! Injera and wet is our cuisine and our national food!! This is a racist documentary!! if you don't like ethiopian food, leave the country!!

  • I don't understand the surrounding environment looks green.

  • because this video was made by the time the Ethiopian were ready for harvesting and thats why it looks green.

  • I've seen the whole documentary of the video. It shows the reality of Ethiopia. However, how come the guy was surprised and make a big dealout of it when one of the Ethiopian guy told him that he doesn't know fish and rice. Fish and rice is not our traditional food and any Ethiopian is not expected to know them as any other nation is not expected to know about Enjera.

  • When you go to any remote village in any country, you will find starvation. Great video but this shouldn't be seen as Ethiopia as a whole.

  • However, I admire your courage to go there and experience their life.

  • 1 in 5 Ethiopians face food shortage? I am not sure about that.

  • This is a very good show..I've watched it 3 times on the Discovery Times channel. Sorious Samura's reporting style is very insightful and entertaining.

  • very informative! thank you for showing this. let's move forward with love, compassion and action.

    Much love

  • Where is the rest of this interesting film!

  • this is very interesting, where can I find more

  • this is wonderful, thank you for this much love JAH bless
