  • No wonder he killed a ton of people. His name is kip kinkel......

  • I feel so so sad for this kid.. he needed help.. its not his friggin fault! my heart gos out to you!

  • He claims he didn't know why he killed his parents or those students. I know why. There's a name for it. The Dark Passenger.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL No problem, just my opinion. Thanks. - Paisley

  • No teenager should be able to obtain guns. Shakes head. So sad and disturbing.

  • Kip was mind controlled by Evil Pinkie pie to do this.

  • @DanThePonyFucker84 WTF. Wherever I go, I find ponies. What the fuck :|

  • @Paisleyapril14: Thank you for your thoughtful and compassionate comment. -David

  • heartbraking to hear this

  • I was born may 20 1998 the day he killed his mother and father. My mom is lucky she had me because she went to Thurston at that time. She cried

  • I feel so sorry for him... I don't know why.

  • he sounds like darby crash

  • Was I the only one who actually cried?:(

  • thats sad he should have just told his parents wat was up

  • @BluRayCrazy He is still in Salem

  • @EXTINCTICON : In Salem yes, but OSP and OSCI are both located in Salem.

  • @BluRayCrazy : He was never in OSP but in OSCI. Not in mental facility yet.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL

I've got his address. He's in OSCI

  • @BluRayCrazy He is actually in the Prison here in Oregon called EOCI

  • Hmm... Notice how he refers to his fathers corpse as "it". Very suspicious. He says it at 9:08. You can tell he says "it" first, then realize that he shouldn't say that, then quickly witches it to "him". Everyone knows that few human beings will refer to a human corpse as "it". This could just be a mix of words for Kip, but... I find this rather fishy. And also, the patterns and tones of his sobs seem to be quite a lot different than that of a regular person, even after a similar situation.

  • I go to Kennedy Middle School, near Thurston where Kip killed those kids. It's scary how close we were..

  • Kip kinkel was my neighbor..

  • Right before this interview, Kip lunged at the officer with a knife and screamed "kill me please." They had to pepper spray him.

The whole thing is just so damn sad.

  • Maybe just maybe if the bullies, principle and the parents did something to avoid this chaos it would not have happened, but yet the kids, parents and school officials keep repeating the same behavior every generation. So yea it is the fault of video games and music videos right? News media and People who believe and blame video games and music for this chaos you are nuts. Kids need guidance not moronic adults thinking they are doing their job.

  • the family did everything wrong, first he stopped seeing his psychologist because he seemed better, and he had started taking Prozac, but HIS FAMILY decided he was better and didn't need to keep taking it. i've already stopped my antidepressant suddenly, and it feels horrible. I feel for this kid.

  • @bekacynthia Agreed. That is the mentality of America. Lets let the Prozac do all the work and everything will be just fine. Let the doctors do all the work while we go to our boring jobs so we can have boring lives and what just happened? What was that? It happens everyday cause adults do their job to make money but not the real job that counts in society. Some parents and school officials in America are lazy morons. And people wonder why the system is failing and why education sucks.

  • Its sooo sad, because you look at it two ways, like how horrible he is for doing that? but also how sad that his life is over because he was just a teenager at the time? like I feel sooo bad..... There should be more programs that help these people, instead of making more prison cells. This is so disgusting.....

  • (cont) (called the MacDonald triad) - serious animal abuse, extended bed wetting and fire starting. Secondly, I have schizophrenia (I had my first psychotic episode at 14) and whilst listening to his confession tapes I find his manner and speech very similar to my own thoughts and speech during acute psychosis. I am in no way a expert on this subject so I would love to hear some other informed opinions

  • @phubbie: Hello, this is Alreadysickofitall on YT. I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "informed opinions". If it means what I usually understand it to mean, I am not qualified. In the legal sense, perhaps. But regarding the Kip Kinkel case I am quite well informed. So, if you would like to know more send either a YT Email, or an email to my personal email address: damac77@rogers.com and be more specific what u wld like 2 know. _David 15.8.11 1:02 AM EDT

  • Hi all! First of all, thanks alreadysickofitall for posting these. The audio clips are just heart wrenching to listen to but are important. I do not believe that Kip Kinkel was a psychopath for many reasons. I have had some experience with children with Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (which are precursors to Antisocial Personality Disorder or psychopathy) and correct me if I'm wrong, but Kip didn't experience the childhood indicators of CD or ODD (cont)

  • check new kinkel material video

  • This is heartbreaking on so many levels.

  • @drgonzoswife: Sure is!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for commenting. -David 11.8.11 7:02 PM EDT

  • White people are always the ones with Mental problems ive noticed that.

  • @TheMasiker yeah cuz the dc snipers were white. the guys that flown that plane into the trade center were white too right....

  • @WrestlingBC12 dc snipers were black and the ones who flown the airplane to the trade center were arabin.

  • Kip is a psychopath and I've determined this through research and a thorough understanding of the criteria to diagnose. I've read kips writings. He expressed homicidal desires with a general anger toward everyone. He stated he fantastizes killing daily. Also there is evidence in his writings that show he doesn't have a connection with people and is filled with anger. He is only crying because of his parents. He lacks empathy for his other victims. He is a psychopath with psychotic features.

  • @KJaBz1: PEACE TO YOU! (1) I disagree with your essential conclusion which you start out with. KIP IS NOT A PSYCHOPATH!!! I too have done my homework: 11 yrs on Kip and related. Over10 1/2 yrs of corresponding frequently with Kip. 350 letters from Kip. So I have studied all you have with regard to Kip +. You seem to have reaffied ? on spelling) Kip, his present ,past and future. Allowing no chance 4 change, over 14+ yrs, under treatment. I believe he has changed a lot (cont'd)

  • @KJaBz1: since 1998. For the better or good.

What evidence do u have 2 support your view that he "lacks empathy for his victims" (apart from guilt about his parents)? I have seen tons of very real and consistent remorse and Kip has rejected several opportunities to make money but has ADAMANTLY REJECTED these possibilities becus "he hates the idea of ppl (especially himself)l profiting from the suffering of his victims. I have consulted 2 psychiatrists expert in

    (cont'd)

  • Comment removed

  • @KJaBz1 (cont'd fr 2.) their fields and they too have looked at the evidence, including total access to his letters, and both have concluded (as far as you can conclude any diagnosis without seeing the patient) that there is no evidence of Kip qualifying as a "Psychopath". Clearly in May '98, he was @ points psychotic but @ no time did he rate being called a "psychopath"). I concur with their conclusions. I am familiar with the DSM IV and criterion. Thx 4 ur contribution. 4.8.11

  • @KJaBz1 This is the problem with you university drop-outs who took a seminar on psychology, you say everything with absolute certainty, like everything you say is fact. He's crying but you know for a fact that he was only crying about his parents, right, so he's not remorseful but he is, only he's just sympathetic for his parents. OK dude, where's your practice, I want some private psychology sessions with you.

  • @KJaBz1 anyway... watch the documentary "Hi, my name is Psychopath" and you will notice most of the 'free people' are psychopaths

  • @KJaBz1 Without Benefit a Patient/client relationship based on TRUST, you are

    just a "Monday Morning quarterback'..

  • This is disturbing and sad to say the least. It's a fact this kid had mental problems but what he did is just odd. I'm not sure if he really had a plan or his thought process was rationale but who knows what would have happened if those 7 kids didn't subdue him before he was able to shoot more people. He had 4 guns on him and over 1,100 rounds of ammunition. I'm assuming he would have killed himself during the shooting at the school.

  • @seikogoldwatch2009 I speak from experience; being an outcast is a painful experience, and when it carries on for a long time, anguish and rage builds up in the mind. While he wasn't physically forced to commit the act, he was mentally pushed to it. There were plenty of signs that were ignored as well.

  • Im going to break him out.

  • @Zombieoutbreak100 You have your opinion and I have mine.

  • Kip Kinkel is a hero

  • @COPMMUSIC no..

  • Thank you for pointing out that an interrogation is not a bad thing. I do not think that this was not your intention, but you still did it. This man was being very friendly in his interrogation. He was simply asking him questions: basically the definition of interrogation. I hate the negative connotations on words like interrogation. If you used the word interrogation with the negative connotations, like i think you did, then I hate you, too.

  • @larsgundy: I meant it with negative connotations so you can go ahead and hate me too. But perhaps you should listen to the nice man asking Kip friendly questions. Just a casual chat. Right. The interrogation was illegal and under the circumstances should never have taken place without the presence of a lawyer or guardian. That is the law in Oregon.

  • I wrote to Kip finally, as well as sent him money for his birthday. (:

  • @killkrissiez That's great that you wrote to Kip. Hope he responds. Hope you send it to the right address and not to Kip directly. Inmates are not allowed to have money in their possession and there is a place where you should send it. See todays Facebook, "Save Kip Kinkel" and you will find the correct place to send it.

  • @killkrissiez What's his adress?

  • @Metalgamerdood Click onto ALREADYSICKOFITALL's profile, and scroll towards the bottom of his channel page, and it should be there.

  • @killkrissiez : That's really good of you. Inmates in prison need all the support and friendship that is possible. I thank you, on Kip's behalf, for your kindness.-David 22.7.11

  • This is Intense. He killed his parents... because he got expelled, and he wanted to save them the embarrassment? That isn't much of a motive. He has some mental issues for sure.

  • ALready you know Kip? I would like to write him as well. My dad passed away 2 months ago but he was a PhD in criminal justice, it was his lifes work. Send me a message if u dont mind with some information?

  • @HatesStupidPeople194: I assume you read Kip's address on my ALREADYSICKOFITALL channel. Sorry about your Dad. That's rough. Yes I can send you some info using YT email. What kind of information would you like? -David 20.6.11 12:19 AM EDT

  • @HatesStupidPeople194: And yes I do know Kip. Corresponding with him frequently for last 10 1/2 years. One of my most valued friends and my (unofficially) adopted brother.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL i would love to write him, my dad spent his life with prisoners and never once judged any of them. He was good friends with Sister Helen from the movie made about her and a case, bet uve seen i Dead Man Walking. anyways man i really wanna write him and hear something back as when i was younger i suffered major depression as well and had many obstacles

  • I wished i had a chance to meet him, he seems like he needed someone to talk to and help him, it wasnt his fault it was his mental illness:( i wonder how he's doin?:0

  • @karlisch32: Doing pretty good, all things considered. Thanks 4 ur supportive comment. If you want to write to him you can. His mailing address is on my profile, with his permission. -David 15.6.11 9:05 PM EDT

  • im going to exam about this guy....wish me luck :P

  • @theninja0508: Good luck with your exam!!!!!!!!!

  • Schizophrenia? Don't you think? And I agree with other statements on here. ^

  • @go1chase1the1sun1set: Certainly Schizophenia is the root cause and Major Depressive Disorder made a large contribution to Kip's mental state on May 20-21, 1998. While there is no cure for Schizophrenia (and for that matter for MDD, Schizophrenia can be treated with antipsychotic meds and psychotherapy and about 1/3 get better. Kip, it would seem falls into the 1/3 that improve remarkably. Thx 4 ur interest. David 14.6.11

  • @jackntilly i live in the city dickhead dont ever tell the americans to change gun laws fuckhead

  • I don't think his parents really helped him.He was a sick kid.

  • @skategurl1102 : They tried but for some reason were unable to cope with Kip who around '97 and '98 was a real handful. Yes he was a sick kid and needed treatment, not prison. However he was getting some help at MacLaren and is being treated at the medium security prison in Salem, Oregon, at OSCI and is making good progress. Following the rule of three: one third get better(i.e. improve substantially), one third stay the same and 1/3 get worse. Kip falls into the 1st type.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL It's good to hear he's doing better.I think out of all the school shooters he has the saddest story.

  • Comment removed

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL David - I wanted to offer you thanks for providing really good insight on the person (Kip) rather than focusing on the "sensational" aspects of the story. Not sure what your relationship to Kip is, but I'm sure that he is grateful that you have helped others see the "human" behind the "inhuman" act.

  • @skategurl1102 They tried, especially his mother but Kip was a real handful and they were incapable of understanding his complexity. He should never been given guns by his dad. His mom took him 2 a clinical psychologist (Jeffrey Hicks) who failed Kip in several ways. -David 9.6.11

  • @jackntilly The parents should be prosecuted for leaving a gun accessible to a child that young to begin with. Think about it, it that weapon was under lock and key, a KINDERGARTNER wouldn't have been able to use it.

  • @jackntilly Why get involved in another nation's domestic affairs? No one else's business.

  • @jackntilly Please tell me in what way is it fucked up?

  • @jackntilly Really? Damn no offence then thats a bitch country you live in.

  • I feel sorry for Kip. He had a disorder. It wasn't his fault. They should have seen this coming and did something sooner. His time is too long especially because he had the disorder. I am sorry you and your family have to go through it. (@ALLREADYSICKOFITALL)

  • this is deep as fuck

  • @Mr1derful713 Yeah you're wonderful alright. Wonderfully stupid and absolutely know nothing. Ignorance is bliss, I guess. I had my latest letter from him about two weeks ago and have at least a hundred from his lovely prison which is not the Oregon State Prison which he has never been in, but from OSCI, in Salem, a medium security institution. Maybe I am a moron in so far as I took precious time to answer a comment from an idiot like you. So just FUCK OFF!

  • @jackntilly Essentially u seem to be against guns. The person who should have had control of the pistol should be charged for negligence in allowing a 6 yr old to have access. A 6 yr old has no moral or legal responsibility. As for ur comments on Kip Kinkel not suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia & "command and control voices" u don't know what ur talking about. U showed either expediency or intelligence in removing ur comments. I suggest expediency as ur motive.

  • @jackntilly: Assuming you are addressing your comment to me, I would like to point out that I am Canadian, not American and in Canada we have a very strict gun registry which if the current Govt gains a majority in the May 2nd election, PM Stephen Harper plans to do away with the long gun registry. I say let's do away with Harper rather than the long gun registry. I would like to see ALL GUNS done away with as well as Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear power plants.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL "...as well as nuclear weapons and nuclear power plants." yeah thats definitely going to happen. by the way take away guns from people who would get them legaly for defence, then ask everyone to turn in their unliscenced guns, the guys who bought theirs off of illegal dealers are definitelty gonna go along with it. in australia they tried to take away guns once, gunrelated homicide went up 4X, gun related robbery went up 6X.

  • @jackntilly Why? Have you ever been to the US? The two countries are completely different.

  • @cuntylishus What makes you think I'm Canadian? I'm half-British and gun laws in the U.S. are fine, thanks very much.

  • Totally agree. @jackntilly

  • Just keep takin those psychotropic drugs, see what happens America

  • @KittyuuEricaj413 I don't know what you are trying to say. English only. Sorry. -David 18.4.11 6:21 AM EDT

  • Is Kip crying.

  • @TheDevineBeing: yes he is crying. He is (at the time of the interrogation) in a psychotic and hysterical state.

He suffers from Paranoid Schizophrenia and Major Depressive Disorder (wasn't in May 1998 diagnosed or treated. Today he has another 99 yrs in his sentence with no chance of parole, he is in a medium security prison in Salem, Oregon. He is receiving medication and psychotherapy and is much, much better. 13.4.11 9:12 PM EDT -David

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL hes going die in jail

  • @lorenzo6320: Perhaps, but I don't think so. You have a right to your opinion and so do I. Hope you have a good life.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL same as you man

  • @TheDevineBeing: Yes!!!

  • My oldest daughter dated Kip for a time. During that time he was hanging out at Gateway Mall a lot, stealing cds and had just gotten in trouble for throwing a large rock over an overpass. His mom called me at home to talk about him. She seemed overwhelmed and tired. She told me that she just wanted him to stay home and not get into trouble. She and her husband knew he was mentally ill but took him off his meds when they believed him better. He snapped because of this. Poor kid.

  • amo a este chico :D bueno lo amaba u.u

  • @marsal811

yeaah he did something horrible and crazy but NO ONE ever deserves to die even for the worst..

  • This is deeply saddening. Most killers show little or no remorse for any of their actions, but this kid just sounds like he had a terrible situation. He did horrible things, but I think it could and should have been prevented. He sounds like he was just really troubled at the time, instead of being another violent psychotic. It sucks to know these things happen.

  • sounds like this kid was suffering at the time of this confession. He is not evil. His brain is sick. Mental illness is real and deserves the medications we have to treat it. Unfortunanely this illness has deadly consequences. When will our society ever learn? Yes, he needs to be safe and those who come in contact with him need to be safe, but prison serves no purpose.I feel for him and those who were affected by his actions and illness.

  • @brib09 I've been in Kip's position, and here's what it was really like: he wasn't mentally ill, he just snapped. Everyone has a breaking point, and when they're pushed beyond it, they really don't care about anything until after all the anger is released. Once someone has that much fury, it doesn't matter how many good people they turn to, so long as the people who have hurt them are still living.

  • @TheSkelwor Everyone has a breakdown! and a point of time where they just lose it! You dont just go kill people! and go start shooting kids!

  • @Zombieoutbreak100 Kip was pushed past the point of a breakdown, into a state where life no longer bears happiness of any kind. It's evident you've never experienced this before, so I can see why you're opposing him, but until you have, your arguments are baseless.

  • @Zombieoutbreak100 I agree. He is psychopath and that's the difference between a normal kid and him. At 15 most offenders I wouldn't reccomend life incarceration but in the case of psychopaths I do because they have a desire to kill that is overwhelming that makes them likely to re-offend. In Kips case medication would only help with his auditory hallucinations but he will still want to kill. We have no means in the status quo to treat this condition. I have done much research and am impartial.

  • this kid was a victim of mind control..its a shame that the people who control the way the world works have no shame at all!..taking an innocent kid and turning him into a walking time bomb is beyond evil!..kip kinkel is not the only victim though!..if you think i am talking foolish go look up mk ultra..this kid was used in a greater plot to demonize guns..its a sick reality we live in!

  • I feel really bad for the families that were hurt because of this kid; I can't help though, feeling even worse for this kid. He was just a kid after all.

  • Is his middle name Karl?

  • @glimmer2158: No, Kip's middle name is not Karl but Philip. His first name in full is Kipland. Bye -David

    8.2.11 8PM EST

  • this help me a school assimit

  • This breaks my heart. I don't think he thought this out, it seems to me that he wasn't able to cope & desperately needed help. He should have been placed in a mental health facility, not in prison. I wonder what his life has been like since he babegan his sentence.

  • @LeahBBanayan : Thank you for your kind & compassionate comments. At the time of these tragic events Kip was suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia with "Command & control voices", one of which kept telling him to kill everyone, one of which told him he was a useless piece of "shit" and must kill himself. He had these voices from age 12 & valiantly resisted them till 15 when the stress caused a psychotic break. He is much better now. -18 Jan. -David

  • @LeahBBanayan If you're going to feel sorry for anyone, feel sorry for the innocent people this sick piece of shit killed, not the sick piece of shit himself.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL NO? What are you talking about? I never spoke to you

  • @squidword2008: Kip and I correspond frequently and heis one of my most valued friends and my (unofficially) adopted brother. Thank you for sending Kip a Christmas card. That kind of thing means a lot to people when they're in prison-David

  • @squidword2008: While not on the web, there are three cases coming up seeking a new trial. He has an excellent lawyer. His sister and brother -in-law write and visit (from California) frequently. They are both very supportive of Kip. There is a Facebook group called "Saved Kip Kinkel". Please feel free to join. Thanks for your comment. -David 6.1.11 5:43 PM EST

  • how old would he be here?

  • @carrotsandnutella: Kip is 15 both in the picture and in the interrogation. The interrogation began within about an hour after the school shooting. He is 28 now. Is being treated in prison for ParanoidSchizophrenia and Depression and is doing way better now. Thanks for your interest and question. 6.1.11 5:36 PM EST. -David

  • @squidword2008 my use of words 'tell enough to me'? You may want to take a look at your own word usage there genius..

  • @ShawnoftheDay : There is absolutely nothing wrong with squidword2008's use of language.

  • @ShawnoftheDay: Don't we all?! At my age it's a bit too late. -David 7.1.11 4:06 PM EST

  • @squidword2008 want a cookie?

  • @squidword2008 well, don;t you think she could still visit and care for him, and at the same time think that he should be punished for murdering her parents?

  • @ShawnoftheDay in answer to your question to squidword2008 whether Kristin could "still visit and care for him, and at the same time think that he should be punished for murdering her parents." While the q'n was directed to to "squid" I am answering it anyway. From what I know of Kristin I feel safe in answering "NO!!!! she wouldn't. It's totally out of character for her.

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL Odd for you to answer for somebody else's feelings.

  • @ShawnoftheDay So I'm odd. Is that so odd? Perhaps it hasn't occurred to you yet, but isn't it possible that "Squid" and I share the same feelings. A good chance, I'd say. Anyway, peace to you and your's. I'm confident that you are a good person. We just happen to disagree on a substantive issue. That doesn't make us enemies. Best wishes in 2011. -David 7.1.11 9:36 AM EST

  • @squidword2008 well, seeing as he murdered her mom and dad, she might not be too keen..

  • What does the guy ask at 6:51

Oh and btw I dont think that Kip should have been sentenced to prison, he should have gone to an asylum or something to get help. He's obviously unstable... poor kid.

  • This Video Is Heartbreaking.

  • where was his his attorney????? i know someone who was railroaded without a lawyer, they destroyed video of him asking for legal counsel. promised to help him if he confessed on tape....corruption all over the place

  • @squidword2008 I dont know where Kip is. But i know on death row they are not allowed internet and are in solitary confinement almost constantly in many states. In Texas they are not even allowed a television or even a pillow and will never touch another human being again.

  • Comment removed

  • WOW! how did you get a hold of the confession??? I have gathered a lot of Substanical and Compelling Evidence for my son also.

My son was fed details and rercorded several times too.

  • @ACEMOM2010: I got it from PBS.org. On Jan. 20, 2000 there aired a PBS documentary called The Killer At Thurston High. That is what sparked my interest & sympathy for Kip. I did a yr of research on his case and wrote a supportive and sympathetic letter to Kip in Jan. 2001. He wrote me back and we have become good friends now for almost 10 years. I have received over 325 letters from Kip & written about the same to him. His crimes were the direct result of mental illness.

    -David 23.11.10

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL how can i contact him?

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL he feel lots of remorse?

  • This stuff breaks my heart and then makes me remember how throughly corrupt the persons in control of this childs life before, during and after this tragedy. This man is systematically building a cut and dry case for the DA and liekly the Defense too.

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know of the current status of the shooter? I dont think i've heard of any update regarding his mental health status after being locked up for all these years.

  • @AntiGrav82:Kip Kinkel ("the shooter") is doing pretty well, all things considered. He still suffers from Paranoid Schizophrenia and Major Depressive disorder, for both of which he is being treated with medication and psychotherapy and he is much better.

I have been corresponding with Kip for almost 10 yrs and have received from him over 325 letters. His letters are as normal as anybodies letters. His thinking is clear and 1n those 13 years he has earned his High School Diploma (cont'd)

  • @AntiGrav82: his 2 yr Community College Diploma and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Univ. of Illinois at Springfield, Illinois. Currently he is working as an apprentice Electrician and likes it. He exercises for 2 hours after work (gets off at 4 PM); lifts weights, runs, plays basketball and football. He has a 7" TV and a CD player and does a lot of difficult reading. He is my closest friend and my unofficially adopted brother. Hope this ans. ur question. 19.11.10 4:51PM EST-David

  • 139 people are stupid.

On May 21, Kinkel drove his mother's Ford Explorer to the high school. He wore a trench coat to hide the four weapons he carried: a hunting knife, a 9 mm Glock 19 pistol, a Ruger .22 semi-automatic rifle, and a Ruger .22 pistol. He was carrying 1,127 rounds of ammunition.[3]

He killed two children. Wounded 24.

  • @4mybchez so lets punish mentally ill people? they dont chose to be sick.

  • Death was probably better if I was him hes brave.

  • @steve5123456789: I can understand your point of view. It would definitely have been my choice. I'm not so brave but Kip is. I have great admiration for his courage. He has a court case coming up (when, I don't know bcus the date hasn't been set yet. It's my opinion that he will be free in 10 to 15 years. At least I hope so. Thanks for your comment. -David 12.11.10 5:25 PM EST.

  • This is very tragic. It's sad to think this kid felt he had nowhere else to turn. These kinds of things inspire me to encourage kids every chance I get. It is obvious that as humans, we make our own decisions, but I feel that everyone deserves to know their options. Kip Kinkle didn't need to do the things he did and it was no one's choice but his own. Now it is something he will live with for the rest of his life. I hope all are motivated to help ALL peers, even if it may appear they are fine

  • @salpal24 true

  • I cried while watching this...

  • @cinimin18: So did I and still do. A filmaker was so affected by it he listened to it over and over 4 several days which inspired him 2 make a short film. It is called "First Love" (John Alfred Longlott). It is not Kip's story but the name Kip Kimbol is used in it as the main character. I haven't seen it yet but hope to soon. There is a 30 second trailer on YouTube. The producer was kind enough 2 list in Thank You credits but it should have been Kip. Thx 4 ur comment.Best Wishes. -David Oct. 20

  • @ALREADYSICKOFITALL I have a question, don't you know Kip?

  • @squidword2008 he has no parole. though his sentence is 111 years. but he also can't be kept there beyond 111 years. which means since he was 15 at the time, if he is still alive, he will be 126 the next time he walks out of prison. which would make him 4 years older than jeanne calment. the oldest known person ever....

  • Christ, there are tears in my eyes right now. I feel bad for being sympathetic towards Kip, but he's a person too. And I can understand how he felt. school makes me miserable, and I've been bullied numerous times

What got me was when he said he had to kill his father because he loved him. It's tragic.

  • I agree it should be referred to as an interrogation.

I am fascinated by Kip Kinkel. I have major respect for him.

  • @squidword2008: at 5 AM or 5:30 AM, showers etc, lines up 4 his meds, goes to breakfast and then goes to work. After work he spends 2 hrs working out; lifting weights, running, playing basketball or football, eats supper and then the rest of the evening is free time. His cell is 9 by 6, has 2 bunk beds a desk, sink toilet and chair & he has a 7 inch TV and a CD Player.I agree he is stronger and more courageous than me too. Thx 4 ur interest. • @squidword2008: (from (cont'd) the scan to the person who sent the email to the inmate. That would be great. Kip still would not get his fingers on the Computer. Corrections Department is having difficulty with the technical logistics. Hopefully it will happen. I think @$10/mo they can't make it financially viable. $20/mo would be more reasonable. K is not in 23 hr lockdown. He works fr 7-4 PM as apprentice electrician, which he likes cus it keeps him busy. He gets up (cont'd)

  • @squidword2008: Yes indeed, it is harrowing. Listening to it can still get me emotional and teary eyed. No, Kip presently does not have internet access but there is a possibility it will be available before too long. How it would work is that people would pay the Corrections Department $10.00 a month for 30emails. The mail room would receive, print it out, give it to the inmate who would then write his letter, give it to the mail room ppl and they would scan it and email (cont'd)

  • how did you get these videos

  • @SuperJhendrix : from PBS.org. There is a lot of good stuff about Kip on there.

  • are you obbsest with him

  • @nbts5n2: Possibly, but I don't think so. Kip and I have been friends for nearly 10 years. Most marriages tend to be shorter (not that that is the kind of relationship Kip and I have.). Purely friendship!!

Now a question for you. Why are you so obsessed with my "alleged" obsession? Not to be mean or anything. Just wondering. :)

    Take Care

  • did they interview him recently? that would be interesting to hear

  • @Corymantitan: The answer to your question is simply "no", Kip has never been interviewed by anybody but the police (which was an "interrogation", not an interview and of course he was interviewed by his lawyers and by psychiatrists and psychologist in preparation for the trial (which never took place because a few days before jury selection was to begin he dropped the insanity plea and pled guilty. His lawyers had concluded that the level of prejudice in Oregon against Kip

    (cont'd)

  • @Corymantitan: (2) was so high that he didn't stand a chance of winning on an insanity plea. In support of that view, a poll was conducted in Oregon, perhaps about a year after his sentencing (which took place on Nov. 11, 1999) as to whether people thought the sentence of 111.67 yrs was fair. The results showed 75% of those polled felt it was fair. Of the other 25%, 12.5% felt he should have been executed, with 12.5% feeling the sentence was way too much.. So his lawyers read the (cont'd)

  • @Corymantitan: situation correctly. They hadn't read the situation with respect to the sentencing Judge correctly (which one of Kip's lawyers admitted they had made a grievous mistake with the guilty plea -an interview in the Eugene Register -Guard). They had negotiated a plea deal with the prosecutors for a 25 year sentence for the four killings and the sentence for the 25 attempted murders was left to the Judge, who they felt would be fair but caved into (cont'd)

  • @Corymantitan: (4) public pressure. After all he had to live in that community. There were 50 victim impact statements over the 4 days before sentencing. I've never heard of a criminal case before where they had anywhere near 50 impact statements.

I am working on a book on this (mainly a crtique of two books on Kip wriiten by Joseph A. Lieberman ). I have Kip's 100% co-operation on this project & he has given me permission to ask him anything for my book). He is a close friend of mine (cont'd)

  • @Corymantitan:(5) & my (unofficially adopted brother). We have been corresponding for 3 months short of 10 years. He is not a monster but a really good person, who suffering from 2 serious mental illnesses (paranoid schizophrenia and Major Depression, undiagnosed & untreated) and snapped under the stress). He has been under treatment at various prisons 4 nearly 13 years & is responding well.

Sorry for this lengthy answer to a simple q'n. Best Wishes -David 25.9.10 6:24 PM EDT

  • in my opinion kip only killed his parents to protect them from the scrutiny or embarrassment that would ensue from his gun purchase and he killed the others to make people think he was a total psycho path and that his parents had nothing to do with it. at the time of the murders/attack i think he had no intention of walking away from his house or the school. but seriously why does the media fuck everything over? I mean what do they gain from it? money?? humans are shallow things....

  • @MansourtheAmazing Oh yea, that makes perfect sense... lets just start killing people to save our embarrassments. You aren't a normal or sane person if you think killing someone or something helps in any way... ok? You got that?
