  • i saw the dugites playing in a bar in Perth in 1977 when my ship docked overnight....

and havent heard that name again until just now !

  • First concert I ever went to...The Dugites supporting Mondo Rock.

  • Best track The Dugites ever released - love it!

  • Wow the first Dugites clip where the girl's hair is longer than that of the guys

  • is it just me or doe part of this sound a bit like ABC's The Look of Love?

  • It's just you

  • @shorn70 Compared to The Dugites early work and look, this clearly indicates the influence of the slick New Romantic style and sound typified ABC. Drummer looked better with the beard!

  • My mum played this to me on her vinyl the other night and I've loved it since.

  • has anyone got the long version of Cut the Talking? Much better than this one.

Also, the Juno and Me clip was up for a while, then taken down. I'd kill for a copy of that.

  • i went to see these play at A.M.P building Sydney 83, Fairlight was cutting edge !came back to englad a few years later , WHY ??

  • This was one of the songs that really showed the power of the fairlights. I was a salesman for electronic sales and rentals in the mid 80s and had occasion to go to fairlights original building near the middle of Sydney. I also these guys live at Shellharbor the year they toured with Mondo Rock, these guys were excellent, Mondo Rock were VERY dissapointing.

  • Saw them in Hobart, support fot Mondo Rock at Wrest Point Hotel, fantastic band, great song.

  • its probably just cos i was 16 when this came out bu tI loved what it said and showed, was classy and signalled what the 80s promised - class and style, b4 the mobile phone and PC boom.

  • Some of the original Dugites have reformed as Snakefish and have a song a video on YouTube called Kangaroo. Check it out.

  • The guy in the checked coat is a dead spit for former NSW Premier Neville Wran!

  • errr ahhh Are you from the ABC?

  • My favourite part in this is in the scuffling scene where Peter loses it and starts laughing... what an actor!

  • Joy- I loved this song!!!!

  • waiting had that weird video delay thing

The Dugites were unusual for their time

    from perth too i think.

    how good is that brass

  • Thank you for uploading this!

Would you by any chance have their '81 hit "Waiting"? That's one of my favourite songs & it's been a long 25 years since I've last seen that very clever video too. 8-)

  • This was actually released in '84 not '83' right at the end of their career, was only a minor hit, deserved better.
