  • Really inconceivable. I can't believe you did this. "Great job" doesn't really cut it.

  • beautiful place!!!

  • Great effort Mike, really enjoyed that!

  • Great effort, Mike! To keep pressing on through such a bad day is all the more impressive. I am starting to go more raw, more vegan and more nutritarian, but in slow steps. To know that you can do what you do on such an uncompromising diet gives me great confidence as I continue to take those steps. Thanks!

  • $100 the bloating is due to the corn! Sure avocado + dates is no good mix, but I'm still convinced seeds are not meant to be eaten, especially gluten ones.

  • So what you are saying is..You really buckled down to get that buckle..LOL...Well deserved as I see it on our mantel to our fireplace as I watch..What a major accomplishment! Ok, no more of this race..Enough!!! We know you can do it. Now face other challenges that don't take so long..although you know I am doing a 100 mile race soon right?

  • Awesome. Remind me how beautiful the race was last year..I finished WS100 29:15

  • this is amazing!

  • Great job Mike! You are a true inspiration. Please post more videos, I love them!

  • Great attitude man keep it up!

  • running off with the lettice!! class..... - im guessing your advise would be stick to fruits and watery veg durring...and just before a race?...ideally no fats the day of the race, also?

love the buckle as well...mint!! :)

anyone one who can push it that far in 24 has done great...fantastic!

  • You make me feel alive!

  • Is the corn steamed?

  • More plz more plz!

  • great video michael!!! i have been meditating on you fuel issues for many months and feel to suggest that you experiment with coconut fat. shredded mature coconut, coconut milk, and coconut oil combine very well with fruit. yes other nuts and avocados combine very poorly with fruit. coconut is a true exception as it is very low protein and mostly medium chain saturated fat. it combines perfectly with fruit. i would try dates mixed with a small amount of shredded coconut as your race fuel:)

  • This is awesome, I started running again and on my second day im already doing 4 miles, easily could have done more but an old injury was nagging me. All raw plant food about 90% all fruit diet for me. Going on about 3-4 months now.

  • This guy is a pioneer in a healthy future. I hope one day he writes a book on all the running and diet trials he has done, it woul be fascinating.

  • inspirational video!!! thanks mike ive been on the fruitarian path for 2 months and hope in time i will be able to at least complete a 100 mile ultra marathon!!! cant wait to meet you at the woodstock fruit fesitval in 2012!!!!!

  • great vid

  • Love the videos, why do you advertise USA so much? Why not vegan or fruitarin sweaters and gear?

  • epic! btw nice cinematography and koyaanisqatsi music at parts

  • Awesome but the corn did u eat that raw don't u have to cook the corn ur an inspiration I run ultras cause of you thanks

  • @Fruitarian007 Corn is amazing raw!

  • @LovinLifeBabay Gonna be rockin my first try at raw corn in about 10 minutes, making some romaine tacos.

  • ok, i'm going to run right now..!

  • nice hoagie, looks delicious!!! 10:55

  • Do you just blend raw corn off the cob?

  • I appreciate the new level or cinematography and production. Why load the blood up with fat from an avocado, what is the logic there?

  • Michael Arnstein is as fast as a Ferrari!

  • He did fine.

I've had more trouble finishing a 5k than he did that 100 miler.

  • Great update! Looks really fun!

  • You are such an inspiration to me. I love your videos so much :)

  • Your videos made me a fruitarian, and keep me a fruitarian. You are my inspiration.

  • Wow, a true inspiration.

  • 12:56 false start?

  • @musiclover5327 There's no such thing as a "false start" in a 100 mile race...

  • how the hell do you run 100???

  • @cageybee777 you run a 100 step by step. sounds easy, but it is. at some point.. if you are somewhat healthy you can do this in about 2-3years constant training.

  • Love the cinematography, and what a great inspiration this is! Must be tough. In HS I ran a mile, once a week and it killed me. Can't imagine doing 100!

  • Great video Mike, awesome effort! Do you think you would have run better if you just stuck with the Avo's and no dates or was the Avos and dates to heavy all together??

  • Pretty inspiring for sure

  • This is just pure awesomeness, excellent video !!!

  • so inspiring Mike!

  • fruit for the win!!!

  • Dates on top of avocado, that's really bad food combining. I would hate to think that first bag at 6:58 did you in for the entire race and caused you to suffer so badly. A firestorm in your gut will make you miserable and shut anyone down.

Can't imagine completing a 100 mile race. Congratulations! You have been an inspiration to me especially your fruitarian diet.

  • @RewardHonesty Yes you are correct,,,it did not serve him well...not a good combination at all...but he got through it

  • Amazing! WOW! I would love to be able to do something like that in my life! Congratulations!

  • Thank you! The length of the video is a bit intimidating; however, it's worth it. Thank you for sharing the details. Can't wait for the next installment. :o)

  • How do you eat artichokes raw?

  • lol, this sandwich during the race made me laugh :P, goOod stuff mike!!

  • Great race Mike! You inspired me!!! Thanks!

  • how many miles do you put on your running shows before you get new ones?

  • Fantastic spirit and drive....true determination of spirit and will!! Congrats for your goal and thx so much for sharing this with us!! :)

  • You're a machine! Thank you so much for sharing all these things!

  • Remarkable!!!

  • Remarkable perseverance. Very inspiring. A lesson for all to be learned here about proper food combining.

  • I always loved artickokes when I was a cooked vegan, didn't know you could eat them raw! Yes! You have made me very happy. :) Thank you for the wonderful video.

  • wonderful! thanks for taking us along

  • the raw hoagie recipe was well worth the length of this video alone. very inspring as always. great quality. thanks.

  • You are such an inspiration Mike! Congratulations to you!

  • Amazing, Amazing video Mike.

  • This is so well done. Congrats Mike and the crew

  • way to go

  • I used to partake in marathons and half marathons years ago. I know how hard those alone can be. I can't imagine 100 miles. That's an incredible accomplishment. Major congrats to you!
