I first found this video in the spring of 2009 and because of it, resolved to work even harder to help our 14-year-old beagle Daisie, who at that time was very ill. In October of 2009, I began taking care of her full time on weekdays, while her Mom was at work. Yesterday, September 8th, 2011, we buried her under a Magnolia tree with the ashes of her younger sibling Scout, after 16 years, 3 months and 2 weeks. Thank you for helping keep our eyes and our hearts open to these wonderful creatures.

This song and this video reminded us how precious our 15 yo Daisie was, and that older dogs need an extra helping of love and attention. She just had a surgery that saved her life for now, but she sleeps a lot these days, and moves pretty slow on walks. With a little luck, she'll still be with us this Christmas.
