I understand the points you are saying about swing thoughts but in my experience, thinking harder just causes more power-robbing tension. The swing happens so quickly anyway, it is better to find a way to really swing the club freely rather than think too much.
Thank you for your video instructionals and club reviews. They are helpful and informative.
I like the way you swing but I am still struggling to get the transition correct and bring my hands to the ball from the inside.
Like most amateur golfers I can turn my shoulders reasonbly well, but about halfway back my arms can go no further. I have to bend them to complete the backswing.
I want to, therefore, learn how to transition from a half to 3/4 backswing.
Mark....I've just stumbled across your instruction videos and think that they are the clearest and best explained in the web. I have just started to take the game seriously and am trying to get into single figures from my 12.7 handicap. It does all cone down to having good basic technique and applying it on the course which you are demonstrating brilliantly. Will you be doing any short game instruction in the future?
Hi iv just taken golf up about six months ago have looked at a lot of lessons on youtube and found your lessons are great,I hit my irons fairly straight change my grip to baseball grip,Im 53 and have a slight back problem not to bad but cant hit the driver straight most of the time slight slice any suggestions, regards man from down under.
I have just bought and started using a new driver: Cleveland HiBore XLS 10.5* regular. This is the first real driver I've had. I used to have a TM Ti300 that I could rarely hit straight.
I struggled with the Cleveland the first couple of round, very hard to hit straight, but then I started chunking down on the grip a bit and I started having much better control. How will this affect my distance? And how can I increase my swing speed? My height is 169 cms.

actually I find it easier to drive my car at 75 mph than 30 mph.

Ah, you have a point, but when you are driving your car at 75mph (I would hope) you are driving on a Motorway or other 70 mph Speed limit road.
Think about taking a sharper corner. It would be a lot easier to take that corner at 30mph than 75mph, I think that's what he means.

@almyster561 basicly u cant play golf with a baseball grip, these instructions are meaningless if u dont hold the club properly
