Thank you so much for this video; it was very touching. I'm originally from LA but moved to Chicago for school. I noticed lots of homeless vets begging in downtown, and many approaching young women for money; most of whom look very clean, well kempt with normal clothing. I would like to help but I'm not sure if they're just trying to scam (very common in LA). Can someone pls give a good word of advice on how to tell them apart? I'm asking to protect my safety when helping others.

I'm not sure how showing how hard it is for the homeless is exploiting them...I'm pretty sure they have it just about as hard as it gets. Thank you for this video.
The director(s) didn't exploit anyone. They merely ask, what if it was you? I believe in the message of this film; american society is too harsh on the homeless, regardless of their motivation.
i really liked this. you guys brought up an important issue in chicago (as well as the rest of the world) and i thought it was really well done. great job!

Good effort, but you exploit them in the end. You're too interested in showing what YOU want the homeless in Chicago to look like.
Consult an ethnographer next time.
