I would say Tool is against addictions, that doesn't necessarily mean they're against drugs. Much like capitalism, Opiates and Meth are both inherently self destructive so I'm sure they would be against any experimenting with either of those. And by opiates I of course mean religion, pop culture, and painkillers.
