I agree with you my friend, Iran is a highly advanced nation and its people are highly advanced, they are certainly more educated than Americans. And I believe the Islamic Revolution was a needed first step to kick out the puppet Shah. But I believe that eventually the Iranian people will move to the next phase and establisha Workers' Republic which will shake the world!

Khomeini fooled every one & took control of the country, one step at a time, in a very systematic way. He planned the hostage taking & used it to push over the so called islamic democrats. They used documents from the US emabassy as proof that all moderate democrats where supported by US, thus arresting & executing them.

I find it interesting that the former hostages do not hate Iran. When one of them was spit on he said it was un-Iranian.

Islamic extremists are the problem. It is a tragedy for Iran that they were able to dominate the new government after the revolution.

Though you are correct, I believe the majority of the blame should go to the U.S. government for overthrowing an elected non-islamic government in 1953. By overthrowing the secular elected government in 1953, the U.S. empowered the Islamists, quite the same way they are doing now in afganistan and iraq.
