This hit shouldn't have happened. Boychuck should have been suspended after Game 2 of this series for trying (and almost succeeding) to break Vanek's ankle with a slash. Sabres were winning the series and winning Game 2 when their best player Vanek was lost for the series. But since it was the Bruins of course the slash wasn't even called. That POS Boychuck was already being called for a hooking penalty so no call on the slash...
