im a GAA referee in dublin that was disgraceful. GAA referees are shown no respect. the GAA should come down hard and ban the person for life and club should get thrown out of every competition they are involved in that guy should be in prision now if that happened on the street the police would have arrested him

@sharonsconnie There is a duty of care put on clubs. the clubs are responsible for the behaviour of their mentors players and supporters alike. the club failed to act responsable in this regard and therfore should be punished, THE referee was assaulted by a supporter connected with the club, which is far more serious than two players fighting. I would in no circumstances referee that game if it is replayed.
