The Amazing Spider-man reboot actually does look good. From what I saw of it at the Sony panel at SDCC it seems to try and follow the comics a bit more, or at least to the extent modern Marvel movies have been doing. The Sam Raimi movies were good, but like Phil said the last one ruined the series. While I agree its too early to reboot this series, I am very excited to see it. I am a huge Spider-man fan so its nice to see they are still making movies about him.

Let's see if Google decides to spin off YouTube in 2012. At this juncture, Google wants to get deals with major content providers and YouTube is one of the things the providers don't like. Google doesn't make a lot of profit from advertisements on YouTube. YouTube is great for everyone that wants to get their name out there but it's not making Google a lot of money. Time for the likes of DSP to branch out and try other things like live streaming. Get a back up plan!

Good job on ditching blip.tv. The main reason I don't watch the content of the mentioned website is the fact that they rely on blip.tv . The only valid reason to not post stuff on YouTube is the possibility of the video getting flagged and taken down on YT for reasons involving censorship. For a common user, it is a nightmare as 1) it is often slow to the point of being inaccessible, 2)there is nothing preventing people from posting big videos and 3)the player is buggy.
