Why do ppl have a problem with showboating?, It's not like they're cheating....the fact that an opponent can do that to you says more about your ability than their conduct....
we were winning 4-0 and in the reverse fixture earlier in the season luton beat us 4-0 and pretty much did the same thing. we complained down there we complained up here, all square in the end
@julienlsk : Because Luton did the same thing at Kenilworth Road when they beat us 4-0 earlier in the season. Luton players seemed to be able to give it and take it in good faith. Only problem was their twat of a manager.
yes i remember both games i was there they took the total piss out of us down there...so right fully we done it to them but kenny wharton is a legend for doing that ,,,can't remember anyone else doing that since or even before!!
By the way, if anyone who is a youngster is wondering who the commentator is, he is/was Charles Harrison and he was what we had to put up with when you listened to the radio, he was fucking clueless and gave the listener no idea of what was actually going on.
I was in the scoreboard with my dad and Grandfather and Uncle, my Granda and uncle were visiting from Belfast and were pleased to see O'Neill getting a hat-trick, me? I was just pleased to see us whop Luton and then take the piss, well done on finding this, mate.
I remember this well. It was Easter time. They beat us 4-0 on their platic pitch earlier in the season and they took the piss out of us too on that day.
I forgot about Gazza's "keepie-uppie", lol, Charles Harrison, what a poompous arse, fact is if Luton did'nt like having the piss taken out of Them, They should'nt have done it in the first game, cunts.
I was at a talk in a couple of years back where Kenny was speaken and got him to sign an Autograph for my son with the words ' From the man who sat on the ball' Kenny happily obliged .
I was at this match. It was brilliant. Perfect revenge. Steve Foster didn't like it though.

Disgustingly unsporting to take the piss like that. They deserve to be kicked way up in the air for that.

Remember the old Mirandina tune:
I remember hearing this one in the 'corner' about the pure skill Kenny often didn't exhibit:
"We've got Kenny Wharton,
He's not from Argentina,
He's from Cow Gate,
He's Fu**** GREAT!!!"
Anyone got the pitch invasions at Grimsby?
